The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
I replaced the flours so that it would be gluten free and reduced the oil by 2 tablespoons. still yummyyy. =)!! the oil taste was less pronounced the next day. mmmmm i'm not giving any away. I suggest under baking them slightly too. (duh) heh. =) thanks for the recipe!!!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
The pancakes were really yummy but they weren't as fluffy as i hoped they would be, maybe a little more milk might help even though my batter wasn't as thick as the other reviewers made it out to be. or maybe even more baking powder. I'm not sure, but they are definitely the best pancakes i've made. totally lovin' it!=)

Lemon Fluff Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2006
I made these into cupcakes and they were really yummy. the initial texture was weird, kinda gluey. it could be due to the fact that i used gluten-free flour. but after they cooled, by the next day they had great texture and it was extremely light and fluffy. and since it was my first time using shortening, i was pretty lost. i didnt know if i had to melt it or just cream it in. overall, a good muffin.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2006
i was too lazy to shape it the way it was supposed to be, also, the batter seemed little too wet. i guess i could have put it in the refridgerator for a bit to hardenl. but, anyhow, i shaped it like a super fat cookie and it came out really good, though it wasn't scone-like. but ohmygod, the flavour was soooo yuuummmm. my sisters loved it. and they aren't sweet eaters!!=)

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: May 26, 2005
it was amazing, except somehow maybe the butter melted a bit, so it was seriously difficult to roll into balls so i just spooned them on thickly. not as pretty but tastewise, seriously good. my sis and i love them! oh, and if you spoon them on too thinly, they spread out and its not good. i didnt use the glaze and it came out great still.a little on the sweet side though.

German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: May 22, 2005
this is an aweeeeesome cake.i've never made an apple cake before and was a little skeptical since i've even tasted one. it is delicious with this rich caramel-toffee flavour. a little too sweet even though i reduced the sugar to 1 1/2 cups.will reduce it further. but then again, i used red apples because they have a richer honey flavour. i've already had 4 slices. and i also had to bake it longer (about 55 mins) so i covered the top with a sheet of cookie paper, to prevent burning.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2005
it was super easy and really yummy, but it was a little too salty for my liking, but i added a little hot water and it worked out. dont let the mushrooms stick to the bottom of the pan while simmering because they get burnt, that;s what happened with some of mine. but overall, super fun to make and reallllly awesome!!

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
it was awesome! loved it, but i didnt follow the exact amount of sugar and milk, just added as and when necessary and til it was just right.the flavour is awesome..will definitely use it again. i couldn't bear to finish using the frosting, and simply ate it up without frosting my muffins.
