Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2006
This recipe is delicious and so simple. I love all the garlic flavor in it. It was great the next day reheated too. The only change was I put 1/4 tsp of red pepper instead of a whole tsp. We're from Minnesota you know and we don't like things too spicy! Great Recipe!

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2006
I made this for a birthday party as a side dish with tacos. I thought it was delicious and pretty easy to prepare. A lot of my guests thought it was a little too spicy (we're from minnesota so it doesn't take much!) Watch how many people you are serving. I tripled the recipe for 13 people and I ended up with a huge pot and only used about a third of the rice. I would say the recipe serves 6 good servings at least.

Zippy Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2006
THANK YOU FOR THIS RECIPE!I have made this casserole three times for different gatherings and every time I get great reviews. I have always made it with ham instead of sausage. Everything else is exactly as recipe suggests and it turns out delicious every time!

Easy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2006
I have never had or made a better banana bread in my life (don't tell my grandma!) I made one loaf and a dozen muffins. The recipe if VERY sweet and really cake-like. My family loved it! I did reduce the amount of sugar to 2 cups and in place of shortening I used half cinnamon applesauce and half shortening. The only banana bread recipe I will use from now on.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
I made these a couple months ago for a halloween party. They were the first item gone. People couldn't get enough of them. Just the other day I got another call from a friend who wanted the recipe. I did as recipe suggested but also rolled smokies in brown sugar before wrapping them and I broiled them for a few minutes when cooking time was done so they would be crispier. Then I just threw them in a crockpot.

Hot Spiced Cranberry Cider

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
I made this cider with Christmas dinner and everyone just loved it. Very, very simple, sweet, and delicious! I used an orange instead of lemon and took it out right when it started boiling as others suggested.

Baked Apple-Pecan Maple Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
I am shocked that this recipe has such a high rating. I usually get such fantastic dishes from here but this was terrible. It had absolutely no flavor and was DRY, DRY, DRY. I followed the recipe exactly.

Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
I was very disappointed in this recipe. I followed it except for adding cinnamon, vanilla and walnuts for added flavor as recommended. It was still very bland and dry on the top. A 1 lb. loaf of italian bread is way too much! Blueberry sauce was good but that was about it. Sorry, but I would not recommend this recipe.

Very Fruity Rum Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
I made this recipe last night for a group of girlfriends over. It was so yummy! I did as others suggested and used club soda instead of water. (Then switched to sprite when club soda was gone!) I also did not add the banana liquer. It was really fruity and everybody loved it. I had to make 4 batches and there were only 7 of us. I also used Malibu Rum for coconut flavor.
