Grilled Onion Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Fabulous idea! In order to cut down on cooking time on the grill, I microwaved the potatoes a bit first. For lack of having Italian dressing I used ranch with bacon. It was fantastic. As the pictures indicate, if you cut more slices in the potato you can add more onion. : ) I can't wait to make this recipe on the grill for my family over Labor Day.

Thanks Kelly. This is exactly what I was looking for. Had to make some modifications first time at bat, but will definitely be trying your exact recipe next time out. Thanks again.

Eggnog Royale

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
This recipe was HUGE for me. My mom is a big egg nog fan and even bigger fan of coffee ice cream. I'm sure she'll be making it on her own for years to come over the holidays (Christmas, New Years, hey maybe even July 4th for my birthda...YEA!). The version that I made for her was a little lighter on the whiskey side, but the other half that I prepared for my sister and sister in law was more on point. They absolutely loved it, as did I. I will try rum next time as suggested by the recipe poster. Thanks for the recipe!!

Shrimp Linguine Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
This recipe is awesome. Not something I would typically prepare, but was looking for something to do with shrimp. I made it almost on key with the given recipe, except had fresh cauliflower on hand rather than brocolli and par boiled it prior to adding to the rest of ingredients, but probably not necessary. In addition, I did add the ginger as suggested by another reviewer. My "health nut" boyfriend loved it, and keeps asking me to make it again. He is in the process of opening a health conscious deli and wants it on the menu. It is always great when frozen precooked and shelled shrimp is on sale at the supermarket. Different pastas work well also, such as whole wheat or tri-color rotini. Oh, and I added rice vinegar in order to cut down on the oil. Thank you Eileen!!!

Apple Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
Great recipe for the above mentioned star ingredients. It was almost comparable to my grandmother's zucchini bread (which will always be my favorite!) I didn't have 3 loaf pans so I did two thirds in a bundt pan and the remained in a loaf pan. Cooking times had to be adjusted for each. Cooks should keep in mind that this isn't apple pie. You may not taste the apple anymore than one would taste the zucchini. Healthier suggestions will work as well.

Bryan's Spicy Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
awesome recipe. i did read most of the reviews before making my 5th attempt at this recipe and realized that i should have stayed closer to home...should not have tried my gut instinct modifications. stayed true to the recipe with the following exceptions... added 50% on the seasonings as i am big on flavorful soups. as is with the liquid proportions, its very solid almost to the point of dry. ergo the comments about adding more H2O, but it is really, really good whether you add more broth or not...just depends on what you are hoping the outcome to be. enjoy!!! FIVE STARS. *****

Pasta with Kielbasa and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
I love sauerkraut and kielbasa, but was not crazy about the inclusion of pasta. Seems many did enjoy; so it's a matter of one's preference. i will try this again, as i enjoyed everything but the pasta, but will either halve the ziti, or elimate completely.
