Super Simple Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2011
These are now the ONLY biscuits I make! Usually, you have to sacrifice taste or quality, for simplicity in preparing. NOT SO with these biscuits! They are tender, flavorful and scrumptious! Definitely a keeper!

The Right Choice Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
Wow! The coconut extract compliment these cookies fantastically! The only thing I changed was to substitute margarine for the shortening. The cookies bake up plump and chewy. Perfect and YUMMY!

Quick Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
These were dynamic! I halved the recipe, since I only had one cake mix on hand. I also substituted pre-made cream cheese frosting for the filling. super easy and TASTY!

Extra-Yummy Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
These are the ONLY pancakes that I ever make! My kids even request them by "name"! My family is full of pancake lovers, and ever since we've started using this recipe, there are no more "boxed" pancake mixes for them! The pancakes are consistently moist, fluffy and have great flavor-- the way pancakes were meant to be! We change some of the measurements of sugar, vanilla and cinnamon to our tastes, but it is also awesome the way the recipe is written. Thanks for the fantastic recipe!!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
This recipe lived up to it's name! I substituted margarine for the butter, and omitted the walnuts, due to our personal tastes. I also used heaping spoonfuls of dough, and baked them for 15 minutes for their increased size. These cookies are definitely bakery quality and fantastic!

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
This recipe was super easy and delicious! I substituted beef ravioli and used the entire 25 oz. pkg. I also omitted the tomatoes, and the sauce was still of good consistency. This one is definitely a keeper!

Chili Casserole with Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
I'm afraid this recipe wasn't the greatest one I've tried. I personally didn't like the red wine flavor. I also didn't think it had a chili flavor at all. The mixture of seasonings in this recipe results in a confusing flavor that leaves you more puzzled than satisfied.

Sweet Cornbread Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
My variation on these was to make them as corn muffins, and baking them at 425 degrees for 15 mins. They turned out the fattest, lightest, yummiest corn muffins I have ever tasted! Definitely a keeper!

Apple Pie Wedges

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I agree that the recipe is missing something- it's rather bland, although it has good spice flavor. It needs a little salt added, which can possibly be remedied by using salted butter. I drizzled icing over the top of them, and then my kids gobbled them down. I baked them for 27 minutes at 350, and the texture turned out perfect.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
Great peanut butter/oatmeal taste. I substituted butter for the shortening. I thought they were a tad salty, even for a peanut buttery cookie; so I would reduce the amount of salt to 1/2 tsp. in future batches, if using butter again!

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
This was good. It was a tad too dry though, but I'm sure that can be remedied easily the next time by using a little less bread.

Candy Bar Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
This was super yummy. It tasted just like a Snickers candy bar. They get kind of sloppy though, so chill them a little bit (but not too much) before trying to cut into squares.

Eggnog Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
This is a very different recipe. It is great, especially if you like the flavor of eggnog. I found it a tad too sweet, but then, it IS fudge! Just cut it into very small pieces, since it is so rich!

This pasta was edible, but I still thought it needed something. I'll experiment the next time with some stronger flavors.

Kitchen Sink Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
The flavor of this meatloaf was great. The texture left something to be desired, however. I believe the next time I make this, I will simply add more hamburger to the rest of the ingredients, to get a firmer texture.
