Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
DELICIOUS! However we used very little olive oil, just enough to create a rub with the spices. Omitted basil, since didn't have any and still fantastic. Awesome flavor, and the carcass made delicious soup!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
Delicious! I used more chicken since I like alot of chicken and a homemade pie crust, on top only. Also, I added chunks of zucchini instead of peas since that's what I had, and also added dried tarragon to onions. I used boullion cubes for broth, but next time will use canned lo-salt boullion, since I found it a tad salty. Everyone liked it!

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Yummy and a real crowd pleaser! I did tweak this as others suggested. Used only 8 oz sour cream, cut potatoes & butter in half to cut fat, and used yellow onion only b/c had no green onion on hand. Sprayed the breadcrumbs w/Pam instead of butter. Made a second 9x13 using celery soup+8oz sour cream and just as good. I don't think I will add butter next time, it didn't need it. Great dish for a potluck, thanks for sharing!

Roasted Rosemary Cauliflower

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
Absolutely fantastic. SO easy and simple and my new favorite way to eat cauliflower. I used kosher salt instead of table salt. It does need the salt. Really, really good. Thanks for sharing!

Coconut Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
Using a few tweaks suggested by others, this was a crowd pleaser and gets 5 stars! I doubled the coconut extract, reduced sugar to 2 cups and processed the flaked coconut briefly in the food processor. Very flavorful and moist. Thanks for sharing this one!

Delicious! I substituted 1/2c butter for shortening, other than that followed directions. I made this for the 4th and everyone loved it! Thanks for sharing.

Great Green Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
Outstanding recipe and unusual chunky dressing. Only thing I would change is omit the salt since the Dijon mustard adds alot anyway. I tripled the lettuce but you do not need to triple the dressing- just double it. I had some leftover when tripling it.

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
Very tasty and easy. I did not have pimentos and substituted sauteed red pepper strips and mushrooms before adding the chicken back to the pan. Also used dried basil and it was very good. Fresh would be better though. Thanks for sharing.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
DELICIOUS! I used chunky peanut butter since that is what I had on hand. I liked the texture alot and could hardly notice the pieces in the chocolate topping. I did use a mixture of milk choc and semi-choc chips since it was what I had on hand, and I do think the addition of milk chocolate makes cutting into squares easier. Easy, rich, decadent! This is now my go-to peanut butter bar recipe, thanks for sharing!!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
I like to hear how people tweaked recipes since it shows me how to be creative:) so I don't mind their ratings on the changed recipes.. So- as others suggested- I made this more lowfat by layering lowfat crescent rolls, chopped london broil sauteed with low salt taco seasoning (DELICIOUS VARIATION! I will use each time), salsa instead of tomatoes, lowfat sour cream/greek yogurt mixture, & lastly lowfat mexican blend cheese on top (omitted tortilla chips). I served with shredded lettuce & chopped tomatoes for garnish. Outstanding taste/combination and I will make this again! Thanks everyone for sharing all your "tweaks".

Cyndi's Shrimp Fajitas

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
Good, but not as good as the reviews suggested. I thought the marinade tasted a bit heavy on the chili powder, and I would reduce it next time. It was colorful and healthy though and very good with jack cheese on top, even w/o tortillas.

Marinated Ranch Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
As someone suggested I halved the dressing so not so salty, and cooked in the oven at 350 for 15-20 minutes (I used boneless strips so they were thin) and it tasted very good. Tasty fast meal. 5 stars for ease!

Moo Goo Gai Pan

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
Delicious, easy, healthy, one-pan weeknight meal. Serve with your favorite rice and you're got a great dinner. I doubled the sauce which just made enough, and had no rice wine but still tasted fine. I may triple sauce next time. Thanks for sharing!
