I am an insurance agent who has a love and a strong passion for food and cooking. I am always trying new food and new recipies. I also have a passion for music, which I love to cook to the music. I am currently persuing my love for food and cooking but going back to culinary school.
My favorite things to cook
I don't think there is anything I don't like to cook. I am quite partial to baking though.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to have Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner with all of my family. I just love having all the people around with all of the wonderful food to eat. Basically and holiday that lets family get together to eat, or any special occasion to eat with friends and family. I sometimes make excuses to cook and visit with friends and family.
My cooking triumphs
IT would probably hve to me my marinated italian vegetables. i went to a Sunday brunch and before we even had our actual meal with everyone my vegetables were already gone! People kept eating them! They all said they enjoyed it so much and everytime I get together with that bunch of friends I have to bring my italian marinated vegetables.
My cooking tragedies
This year I thought I would try something different besides my normal pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, so I decided to try to make my 1st pecan pie, but I was going to make it a burbon pecan pie. My Mum told me not to dissapointed because she struggled till she got her now family famous pecan pie. I made the crust and that turned out beautiful and then I made the pie. I baked it for 1 hour in the oven and when I took it out it was still liquidy!! I put it back in and baked it longer, and it was still liquidy!! I put it back in the oven and baked it till the crust was burnt!To this day I still can't figure out what went wrong with that darn pie!!
