Potato Leek Soup III

Very good! I did double the leeks and used less butter, thickened with a rue and used water with 2 tbl chicken buillion in place of the chicken broth. I also used about 1/2 cup heavy cream and some milk. I will keep this recipe, Thanks!

German Chocolate Fudge

Marinated Mushrooms II

I made this omitting the sugar and I'm glad I did. I also added a pinch of red pepper flakes and oregano. It was still missing something, I can't put my finger on it yet. Overall this is very good and I recommend it highly! Thanks.

Meatball Sandwich

Excellent. These have a great flavor. I used 2 small eggs and added some chopped onion. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. We loved them and will be making them often since this is a quick lunch and much better than cooking my meatballs for 2 hours in sauce! Thanks!

Blueberry Crumb Pie

I made the pie exactly as written, but next time I'm going to leave out the lemon juice as it was abit too much for me. Also, less sugar in the blueberries as it was too sweet. The crumble topping was very good!

Fresh Tomato Salad

This salad was very good. I prefer alittle less parsley but the longer it sat, the better it tasted. Perfect summer salad as I had everything fresh in my garden. A keeper.

Zucchini Patties

I added garlic powder and substituted 1/2 of the flour with seasoned bread crumbs. AWESOME! I am going to make 200 of these and freeze them individually for quick microwave snacks all winter! Thanks for a great recipe.

Aw-some Cole Slaw

I did double the vinegar and only used 1 tablespoon of sugar since we like our slaw not too sweet. This was very good and I'll continue to use this recipe. Highly recommended! Thanks.

Simple BBQ Ribs

Instead of salt I used a cup of soy sauce and WOW - these were by far the best ribs I've ever made! Everyone loved them. Can't wait to try this out on chicken too. This is my new rib recipe and we can finally enjoy BBQ Ribs in the winter now! Thanks for a great recipe.

Oma's Rhubarb Cake

My husband doesn't like pies, so this caught my eye. We liked this cake. It's sweet, but the rhubarb offsets it well. This receipe is going in my book, thanks! I will also try this in the fall using diced apples in place of the rhubarb and some brown sugar. Yummy!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

I only made the meatballs, not the sauce. We really liked them but I did pan fry them first. I'm making another batch now for meatball subs for tomorrows lunch. Yum!

Leek and Cheese Quiche

I left out the romano and cheated on the heavy cream. I only used about a 3/4 cup since that's all I had and added alittle milk and alittle flour for the rest. I used 1 less egg and less cheese so it wouldn't spill over. I suggest adding the salt to the egg/cream mixture and not the top. Very good. Thanks!

Broccoli Beef II

My husband loved this. I thought is was good. A five star because you can add and subtract and it always comes out great. The noodles cooked in the beef bullion makes the dish. Thanks.

My Chili

We love this chili. I always add the diced tomates with jalapeno and either a can of corn or a green pepper. Also, a tablespoon of baking chocolate powder is a must. Love it and will keep for my go to recipe. Thanks.

Brazilian Black Bean Stew

This is now a favorite in my house. I use diced tomatoes with jalepeno already in there and I leave out the cilantro and even the mangos sometimes. It's always good. A keeper!
