Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
So instead of eggs I used applesauce. When making the muffin batter I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose. Finally I used smart balance instead of butter. These turned out AMAZINGLY well. My four year old told me they were,"delicious". Will definitely be making these again!!!

Pub-Style Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
Amazing! I made a version with zucchini instead of mushrooms (for friends who don't like mushrooms) and a version that followed the recipe exactly. Both were delicious, but the mushroom version was heartier and more chili like. Easy and will definitely make again!

Reese's® Brownie Bottomed Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
Everytime I make this I get rave reviews! Plus people never believe that I made it from Scratch! I would recommend cooking the brownie for a shorter time than the recipe calls for plus adding a bit of oil to the brownie. It just give you a fluffier brownie bottom! But is also is good as is!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2005
This recipe has become my picky boyfriend's favorite. He asked me to make it on a trip to the beach with his mother. She spent the rest of the time bragging about how her son had found a good cook! Since we have this fairly often I mix it up by adding different spices in each time. Is great with an added kick of cayenne and/or curry!

Taste of Home's Creamy Coleslaw

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2005
My boyfriend and I threw a barbeque party for a bunch of Southerners. As the only transplant of the bunch I was nervous about attempting my first cole slaw. When the pickiest of the buch turned to me and said " this is great cole slaw and that's hard to do!" he was so right! Please everyone at our table!

Cajun Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2005
I marinated this chicken over a 24 hour period and it made the most tender perfectly seasoned grilled chicken for a salad, sandwich, or a main dish. Went perfectly with our barbeque party. Two thumbs way up! A pleaser!

Honey Glazed Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2005
This recipe has some possibility...as is it has almost no flavor. The parts of the chicken with just honey on it is too bland...adding some spices or breading and cutting the honey might help.

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
These were fine, but tasted nothing like real buffalo chicken. I wish I had read the reviews before I prepared it. Hot sauce will help and it's an interesting idea to use crackers instead of bread crumbs! Next time I will try that!

Baked Fake Steak with Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
This was awesome! The only problem we ran into was that the gravy needed to be thicker and more gravy like. But the taste was great (we added a bit of cayenne) and it was a filling meal!
