Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2005
I made these for a bridal shower, they tasted good and I recieved a lot of complaments. ROLL THEM VERY TIGHT! Also place extra cream cheese mixture around the outside edge so when you roll them they will stay taught. I used turkey and ham minced in the blender on low.

Stained Glass Candy II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2005
Excellent recipe Bea, thanks for sharing! I made them for my friends bridal shower and they where a hit. An easier version is to spread the coconut onto a peice of wax paper and place the mixture tube length down the sheet then just roll the rest in cocunut, wrap with wax paper and place in fridge overnight. Just cut the next morning (I used my electrical knife). I think next time I'll try half semi-sweet chips half milk chocalate chips for a cremier taste.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2005
Nora thanks for the recipe I'm always trying to find creative ways to feed my family healthy foods. The only change I would make to this great recipe is to use less onion, try the dressing first (great without the onion) and then keeping adding little bits at a time.

Thanks for sharing your recipe, it was so easy and so good. My family likes a little kick so I used pepper jack cheese instead of mozzarella and onion salt instead on minced onion and salt. Worked great!

Excellent recipe Holly, thank you for sharing my family loves it. Some addition from other reader that where great included; sun-dried tomatoe alfredo sauce (yummy), 1/2 cup more mozzarella cheese in the filling, and garlic salt instead of salt. Thanks again for the great recipe

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2005
Debbi you and your daughter are awsome, I would give you the grand prize ribbon. Excellent recipe, well done! Some addition I made to the already great recipe. Add a little more sugar 1/3 cup sugar, you can use 1 vanilla mix and 1 vanilla mix for and extra chocalate recipe. I also added 1tsp of salt. Use an ice cream scooper to put them on baking sheet, and only cook for 10 min. Take them out if if they don't look done, with time they will finish baking. Thanks again

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
This is a little too sweet, but the meat turned out tender. I think next time all try using less brown sugar and ginger, or just use another sauce.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
This recipe had a great combination of tastes! I made a few changes that worked out great for time. I placed four large chicken breast in a slow cooker for 4 hours with 2 tbs butter and 2 tbs garlic while I went to church. When I got back the chicken was tender, and just a little pink. I then sliced the chicken and made and opening for the mixture (minus the garlic). I placed them in the oven on 375 deg for 20 min. Turned out great! Thanks for sharing the recipe my family loved it!!!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
This recipe is great! If your a first timer at the whole thanksgiving thing and want moist stuffing this is the way to do it. Instead of getting the bread cubes and seasoning just use a boxed stuffing (Mrs. Cumbensons works great).

Fish Tacos

Instead of frying the fish, I just marinate it in lime juice and grill it. I LOVE the cabbage/coleslaw recipe that goes on top. Makes a great nutritious meal. Thanks for sharing!
