Caramel Macchiato Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
Made this recipe exactly as stated, no water bath, and it came out of the oven looking amazing! I took it to our dinner party, worried that it wouldn't taste as good as it looked and it exceeded my taste expectations! Everyone raved about this recipe! My husband and I joke that any recipe with coffee is a keeper and this recipe certainly would fit our criteria!

Smothered Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
My husband was a bit skeptical about my cooking dinner tonight. But when he walked in the door he commented that it smelled good. He had the first taste and said, wow, this is good. He added that he would make and serve this recipe to company. On a side note, I did not have lemon-pepper seasining so I just used lemon juice and pepper, I cooked the bacon in the microwave and sauteed the onions in the same dish as I used for the chicken. I only had cheddar cheese but I am sure the colby/monterey jack would have been just as good. I guess this is a keeper in the recipe box. Thank you!

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
This was good, a little too peppery/spicy for the kids, my husband complained that it wasn't salty enough (I didn't add what it called for, I guess I should have). I will make this again with some changes.

Slow-Cooked, Texas-Style Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2011
One probably would not imagine putting coffee, cola and brown sugar together on some meat, but I tell ya, this is absolutely by far one of the best recipes! I found it on here about a month ago and this will be my 3rd tirme making it. It has become a staple recipe in my house. If you know you will have a busy day, put this in the crock the night before and dinner will be pretty much ready when you get home! My husband is a pretty picky eater and he can't get enough of this! The only bad part about this recipe is you have to smell it all night and the next day, you won't want to wait until dinner to have it! Thank you Ly for sharing this recipe!

Featherlight Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
Oh my! I just made these for a Breakfast with Santa. It isa good thing that I am on a strict diet because these look and smell so delicious! I was worried that they would be hard, but they look and feel so moist! I stuck straight to the recipe except I added about 1/4 C. mini chocolate chips. I am going to make another batch tonight with craisins and orange juice with a orange juice/confectioners sugar icing. I sliced up the butter into the flour and then used a pastry blender to get it to the crumb consistency. It is a little bit of work, but all worth it. Can't wait to make these when I can actually eat them! ;-) The only reason I didn't give this a 5 stars is because I haven't actually tried them yet.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
I am usually skeptical about anything with mustard in it, but this is a really good recipe. I measured everything out except the honey I just threw in there. I think I should have put a little more honey in it and then this meal would have been a full 5 stars. A quick, easy and delicious recipe! Thank you!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
I usually make this with just one can of cream of celery soup mix and no water, my husband doesn't really care for it that way. This time around I followed this recipe and he said it was better than usual! This was just right and was not too salty. I also added some carrots and onions to the crock pot so that it would add more moisture. This was an excellent recipe that I am sure I wil be making again.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
I really enjoyed this recipe. I did however leave out the flour and water that you put in with the apples. If I had put the water in it would have been way too waterey for my liking.

Sweet and Sour Chicken III

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
My husband and I both thought this recipe was very salty. Maybe it was because I only put one pepper in and omitted the carrots. Also I just guessed on how much pineapple and juice since I only had a larger can so maybe I didn't put enough juice in. I think if I try this again I would put celery to help with the saltiness as well as more pineapple and juice. Overall this was a very quick and easy recipe.

Aw-some Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
YUM! My first time trying to make cole slaw and I will not go searching any farther. I made it a little too late to let sit for 3 hours, but it was still great after sitting for just one hour. I also just bought a bag mix of the cabbage and carrots and did not put any onions, I am sure it would taste just as yummy, if not more with onions!

Rhubarb Berry Jam

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
I am just finishing making this wonderful jam up now. I have only had a few spoon fulls but it is absolutely delicious! When it says it is 64 servings I am assuming that they mean 1 ounce is a serving since I have jarred about 9-8 oz. jars. I didn't change a thing to the recipe! Yum, Yum!

Rhubarb Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
LOVE IT! I just finished making a double batch of this jam and I think it is absolutely delicious! I have added this to my recipe box! I am so happy I made a double batch because I don't think it is going to last very long. I did not change a thing to the recipe, other than doubling it! I ladled it into sterile jars and will be handing this one out to everyone. Wonderful new recipe for rhubarb! Afterthought, I think this would be a wonderful dip for Animal Crackers! YUM!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
Love this icing! However, I do add a little bit more milk and corn syrup as the recipe seems too thick. I use this icing with the "best rolled sugar cookie" recipe from this site and they are so yummy! Will use these two recipes from here on out!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I have tried a few different sugar cookie recipes, this one is wonderful! Other recipes don't roll out as well as this one. I roll this out between two pieces of wax paper and lightly flour both sides of the dough. I only take out a little bit of dough to roll and keep the rest in the fridge, as it seems to warm up quickly. Second year I have made these and expect to make them year round from here on out!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
This was very good! I would cook it a little longer per pound, since I like my roast cooked a little more than medium rare. Otherwise I loved it. I don't do the cooking, but I tried this and will definitely make it again. It is a little cold when it comes out of the oven so it will need to be heated, I think.

Grandmother's Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
SO GOOD!!! These cookies are so tasty, and don't flop like others I have made. I didn;t put the walnuts or raisins in however, I am sure they are just as good if I had. DELICIOUS!
