The Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2014
Loved! I made the ranch dress from here: "ranch dressing II" by dwania. This recipe is so much better than any store bought stuff. I followed the potato salad recipe except for adding more mayo, I used the ranch dressing for to get the creamy texture I wanted. This recipe will not let you down.

You can't go wrong with this recipe! Seriously!!!:-) I followed the cooking instructions by Morena. When you click to read the reviews it's the first one that comes up. My cheesecake came out perfect and it was the first time I ever made one.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2012
Super Good! Super Easy! I have followed the recipe as is and have experimented with different ingredients. It's always good. FYI...when i use fresh ingredients i usually have to split the filling between two pie crusts. Also if your not a huge fan of feta, still give this recipe a try. When it is baked it changes flavor...yuummmmm

Chimichurri Sauce for Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
Easy and a great way to spice up a steak. Although the sauce is good as is, I have a ton of herbs growing right now...so i did add some spicey oregano and a bit of thyme. I'm glad I cut back on the vinegar. I LOVE vinegar but the hubby does not. I also used the sauce to dress our salad.

Bombay Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
Loved! I did double the curry and used chicken stock instead of water. I used 2 tsp hot curry powder and 6 tsp reg curry powder. It was a great compliment to the sweetness of the rice. I not only dressed the chicken with the spice mix I also injected the chicken. If you use brown rice, parboil it for 15 mins before adding the rest of the ingredients. It adds a nice nuttiness to the dish.

Best Hot Crab Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
i love this recipe!!! i did cut way back on the cappers, i think i only used 1-2 tbls. i only used 1 tablespoon of garlic and 1 small can of artichokes. i wanted the crab to stand out. next time i will cut back a bit on the sour cream and buttermilk. the dip was a little loose when hot but tightened up when it got cooler. this dip is rich and feeds a big group, so its nice a nice party dish.

Mini Salmon Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
LOVE! I used fresh caught coho. I simply but it in the food processor and buzzed it up to hamburger texture. I didnt change any of the ingedients. Next time i might add some cappers and dill to the meat just for fun. This is a great alternative to salmon patties...no frying involved :-)

LOVED! I followed the recipe to the letter. However I've been dying for an excuse to make the mayo recipe from this site...it was sooo worth it! If you are not a garlic lover cut back the garlic...this is not a first date recipe!

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
LOVE IT!!! Everyone begs for this cake. The only suggestions I have is break up the pineapple before adding. It will add to the mystery of the cake's goodness. I make this in two 9" pans. This is so much easier than cutting the cake in half. Reduce the cook time to 25-30 minutes.

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
I have been making these muffins for over a year and I love love love them. A couple of suggestions: cut back on the sugar...if you have sweet apples and carrots its necessary. Try dried cherries instead of raisins. Add a cup of walnuts into batter. Try pumpkin instead of apple butter. My oven cooks uneven so i made 12 large muffins. the batter does not rise a great deal so there is no over flow. to accomodate the change, i to lowered the temp to 350 and cooked for 35-45 minutes.
