About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom of two young boys. I love to cook but they keep me very busy! I try and look for simple meals that they would also enjoy.
My favorite things to cook
I love making soups in the winter, I love salads in the summer. I have found some great recipes here.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have a big fish feast every Christmas Eve, with 7 kinds of fish.
My cooking triumphs
The first dinner I ever made for my husband, my bofriend at the time. Baked Ziti. He loved it. It's not even that hard but it was really the first time I cooked. When I was single and living alone I would eat a bag of pretzels or something for dinner. When I met him I started to cook.
My cooking tragedies
There have been a couple of things that just did not taste right but I would not call them tragedies!

Sloppy Joes II
These were really good. I thought they were a bit to sweet. I followed the recipe as written. I will make these again, i read some reviews to add a splash of apple cider vinger and some worstishire sauce to cut down on the sweetness, I will do that next time.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken
this was so good! the only change was I used potatoes instead of foil. My kids could not stop eating it. I made a gravy with the juices when it was done. so good. I love that we made it in the summer and did not have to turn the oven on!
