My cooking triumphs
Just about everything I make is triumphant. I have recently been told that I am a better cook than my mother. While this may or may not be absolutely true (and I like to believe that it IS) it could just mean that I am more adventurous in the kitchen than my mother...which IS true. Fact.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I cooked for my boyfriend, I made homemade mac & cheese. Fail-safe. Or so I thought. I did not beat the egg and milk thoroughly and we ended up eating mac & cheese with bits of scrambled egg in it. Ugh. To this day he promises that he loved it.

Nutmeg Cake
Moist and delicious! Didn't have buttermilk on hand so used 1tsp. lemon juice and enough milk to fill the required amount. Simply wonderful! I made these as cupcakes and it yielded about 2 dozen.

Shepherd's Pie Complete
This was simple. My friend has a strong dislike for vegetables, so we left out the corn and the beans and I made mashed potatoes from real potatoes (only added an extra few minutes). Very flavorful and filling.

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce
Wonderfully seasoned!! Yum! Even my very picky friend loved them. Easy to make, although a bit of a hassle to bend into the oven every so often to baste the chicken.
