Slow Cooker Chicken Marrakesh

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
Wow that was good. I had to make substitutions and I didn't have everything needed. Fresh onion and garlic became powdered versions. Large carrot became frozen mixed veggies. Sweet potato became yellow potato and tumeric became ground mustard. Because I used regular potatoes rather than sweet I added in tarragon. I'm sure once I cook this the regular way it'll be just as yummy too. :)

Rhubarb Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
I recommend chopping the rhubarb into as small pieces as you can. I blended half the amount of rhubarb to get the taste throughout the cookie, then the other half was chopped small.

Jasmine's Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
I just got finished making and eating this and it's fantastic. It gives the brussel sprouts a nice bite. My roommate tried some and he actually ate it...and he HATES brussel sprouts.

Curried Chicken Triangles

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
First taste and Oh.My.God. So good! I couldn't find shredded Swiss cheese so I used Lucerne's Italian blend...and I LOVE curry so I used 1 tsp and used fresh chopped garlic in place of salt. I cut the 8 triangles you got in the single package in half, put the mix in the middle...then realized I had hanging edges. So I wrapped 2 long edges over the top, one over the other. Came out great! I'm NOT sharing!!

Best Chicken Salad Ever I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
Great beginning to a recipe. I used mayo instead of salad dressing and walnuts instead of pecans. I despise relish so I added a bit more mayo (about a teaspoon or so) and some lemon juice (so the apples don't brown). I didn't add celery. Added some curry powder also...about a teaspoon or so.

So good that I'm having a seriously hard time not digging it out of the cupboard and eating the entire loaf!

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
I reduced the brown sugar and used Marsala wine...OMG I wished I had the mushrooms because this was so good. Next time instead of paprika (or in addition to) I'll add cayenne pepper. That mix of sweet with spicy will be super yummy.

Southwest Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
It was alright. I added the spices to the meat rather than at the end of cooking.

Quick Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
Not bad for being so quick. Was a bit bland, maybe add more cheese or salt & pepper or something. I crumbled tortilla chips on top to give it some crunch. Maybe the canned peas were what made it so bland? :) Trying frozen next time.

A bit of an odd flavor with the brownies. I liked it, my boyfriend didn't.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
Was pretty good. BF asked me to use pepper jack cheese and it made it fantastic. Too much sugar for us in the topping though so we'll be omitting that next time.

Thai Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
I found it a bit too peanut buttery and thick. I didn't add the onions or peanuts and only used half the amount of chicken called for. I could barely finish it.
