About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma always made Sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving. I was blessed enough that she showed me how to make them before she passed. My Mom wasn't able to to cook much that we liked but she could cook Deviled eggs and Sloppy Joe's. I've tweaked her Sloppy Joe's by using BBQ Sauce instead of Ketchup. My other grandma used to make Chocolate gravy for the kids on special mornings. My aunt handed that recipe down to me.

Original Homemade Italian Beef
I really liked this one. I asked my husband what he thought and he liked it but thinks it needs a few tweeks. He loves the French dip so he wants me to try this recipe with beer instead. I think I will reduce the number of Italian dressing mix packages to 2 as well. I also Salted, peppered and used some Garlic powder on the meat before I put it in the slow cooker.

Chicken Taco Filling
Very good. Maybe next time we will use this meat for nachos or even just a sandwich.
