Steak 'N' Onion Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
This was very good! Now mind you I made this and it was 90 degrees out and I don't have air in the kitchen. So this is what I did. I made the crust first, I useally don't use butter in my cust and with this pie it added a richness that really worked with the meat. And then because it was so hot I put it in the fridge while I made the filling, and this made the cust much easyer to work with. As far as the filling the only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because it tasted to much of flour, so the next time I make it I will make sure I am more carefull with the flour. I did not let it simmer for 45 min and the meat was very tender. Other than that it was really good and I can't wait to make it on a cooler night

Cornish Pasty

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2008
I am from Wisconsin and when I was a girl we used to go up North and visit the old minning areas and you know the stoy of the Pasty. The minors used to take them into the mine with them so they could just pull them out of their pocket and have a good meal while they were working. Anyway I didn't really like the pasty they were very dry and didn't have a lot of flavor. I remember the shell being very dry. But these are very very good, the crust is light and flaky. And it was a great compliment to the meat and vedges on the inside. I used stu meat and that worked out great. `Thanks for the great recipe it brought me back to my childhood and better.

Poblano Chicken Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
I thought this was a great dish the only thing I think it needed was more heat. I only used two of the jalpenos and I wish I had used all four I guess I was afraid. Next time I will add all four and maybe some seeds. I also don't think you needed the cream (or half and half) it would have been just as good with milk and light sour cream. And then you can save some fat and calories.

Okra, Corn and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2006
This was very very good I wanted to try okra so I planted it in my garden knowing nothing about what to do with it. This was very good and the corn made it great The only thing I would add is hot peppers and or a little brown sugar. I also added salt, pepper, cuman, and garlic salt. Because of these addtions I gave it 4 stars but with the additions I would give it 5 stars

Taco Salad with Ranch Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
I thought this was good I would have liked it better if it had more flavor. Next time I am going to use better salsa you know with black beans and corn in it maybe if I make the salsa myself it would be better. I added olives and red onions and ground beef not chicken.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2006
OK I have never had Turkey Burgers before so I have no referance. But, these are very good I really liked them. I have some important advice, I tried to grill the burgers on the grill and it was a disaster I just did my best to take them off and finished them in a fry pan. They fell apart and stuck to the grill. I suggest you use a clean grill rack and pam spray. Then you should be alright. I will make these again they were very good.

Chicken Lasagna IV

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2006
This recipe is a keeper. I did make a few changes. Because of some of the reviews that the onion wasn't cooked I sauted onions and about a cup and a half of mushrooms togeather until they were soft. I also added poltry seasoning to the chicken while it was cooking and Italian seasoning to the creamy mixture. It was very good serve it with a good salid and crusty bread.
