Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Great taste. Definately a keeper though I would cut down on the sugars and 1 cup of chocolate chip is plenty. I would also add toasted pecans since I love them in a chocolate chip cookie.

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2007
I love the taste of this fondant. Definately easy with simple ingredients but I too found this crumbles. Rolling and laying over the cake is simple but the corners tend to crack after laying the fondant on the cake. I found that this fondant is not as elastic as that from Wilton. Not sure if there is something that could be added to this recipe to make it hold together better i.e. more elasticity. I will definately try this again to see if I can get that elasticity I am looking for since this is such a yummy recipe.

Orange Drop Cookies IV

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
These were a hit at my party. The recipe certainly made plenty. Instead of dropping them by the spoofulls, I pipped them out into small little rosettes and used the icing to sandwich 2 of the cookies together. These freeze very well and are very tasty. Thank you for the recipe!

Beefs Portuguese Style

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
I made this for a small dinner party and the beef turned out absolutely fantastic that my guests are still talking about it 6 months after. I wouldn't change anything about it. Just perfect. Absolutely a perfect treat!

Sour Cream Pear Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
Very tasty! But I wonder if this freezes well at all? I made little tartlets with this recipe for a Bible study which got cancelled last minute and now have 2 trays of these tarts. Anyone tried freezing these? SO I did freeze them and they did turn out well after I reheated them in the oven. It was a hit!

Shrimp and Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
I just tried this recipe and it is yummy! I too used only half of the worcestershire sauce. Since I love spicy food, I added more chili sauce and a little more lemon juice for more tang.

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
These have a really nice muffin texture. I did cut down the butter and sugar and used 6 tbsp of espresso because I really like to have alot of coffee flavour. These turned out great eventhough I was looking for a mocha chocolate chip muffin recipe. Next time, I will substitute the bananas with apple sauce since bananas are so over powering in taste and flavour.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
This is the best tasting sugar glaze for sugar cookies I have ever tasted. It is very versatile and flavourful. I love the almond flavour but next time I will try using lemon flavour.

Sour Cream Sugar Cookies V

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
Definately a cake like texture. Also very fragrant but needed icing. The dough was extremely soft and gooey. Needed lots of flour to try rolling them out. Not a recipe I would make again.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
A great recipe as is but also great recipe to experiment with other dried fruit. I used apricots and toasted coconut. Both versions are my family's favourite. They never last long once they are made!

Lobster Thermidor

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
This was easy and delicious. Always wanted to know how to make this and I was really pleased with how it turned out. Next time I would use more wine and less fish stock and definately thicken it too. A keeper. Thanks for the recipe!

Amatriciana

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
I tried this tonight and it was a hit! All I changed was to add more bacon (I love bacon) and the taste was nice and smokey. Very very tasty and the fastest and easiest pasta and sauce I have ever made. Even my husband was surprised how fast I had dinner on the table. 15 mins tops!

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
This was a very easy and tasty stew. I loved the small onions which were so tender and sweet. Instead of cut potatoes, I used small nugget potatoes in their skins which prevents the potatoes from turning to mush while still having the potatoes in small bite size. Thank you for sharing this lovely recipe!.

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
I tried this exactly and turned out very good. My husband likes it with more egg so I added 1 egg to the mix and they turned out even better. This is definately a keeper. Very easy and super tasty. They stay tall even out of the oven. Don't throw away leftovers. Just pop them into the oven to crisp up the next day and they taste just as delicious.

Easy Cheese and Garlic Scones

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
I found these rather ordinary. It didn't have quite the rich cheesy flavours I was looking for. Although it rose well and had scone like texture, I felt it wasn't as crumbly and melt-in your- mouth as I would have liked it.
