Tuna Fish Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
This recipe is amazing. Very flavorful, and definately not fishy tasting. I like it on toasted bread with a thick tomato slice and topped with melted cheese, yum!

French Pastry Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
Excellent, this was my first time making a pie crust and it was unbelievable, flaky, soft, and so yummy. I slightly cut the salt added a tablespoon of sugar and did half butter half shortening. The only thing I didn't get was what temperature to cook it at, it's not in the recipe, why is that? Anyway I phoned my nana and she said 425

Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2005
These were amazing, chewy, soft and excellent flavor. I followed others ideas and baked them at 330 for 10 minutes, I also used white chocolate chips, only half the bag, added a tsp of nutmeg and 1/2 a tsp extra of the other spices. This cookie received rave reviews from some of my toughest critics.

Agedashi-esque Tofu

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2005
I won't make this again, it was lacking in flavor and the grease made my tummy feel sick. What I would consider Junky health food the grease takes away the benefits of the tofu.

B.L.A.T. Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
Really really good. I used whole wheat tortilla and turkey bacon to make a little healthier. I will use 2 or 1/2 avacados next time. I will make this again and again

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Mexican Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2005
Very easy to make. I think my salsa was too runny as the burgers were too mushy. I melted cheese on top of the salsa for a nice presentation. Although these were good I won't be making them again. I think the recipe needs a little fine tuning, the taco seasoning is just too much.

Cream of Pumpkin Curry Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2005
Absolutely amazing. I love this soup so much. I didn't blend it because I didn't feel like making a mess and I like the texture. Next time I make it I may not even add the milk just to reduce fat and calories. I followed others adviced and added red pepper flakes, double curry extra salt a dash of cumin and a dash of nutmeg. WOW excellent recipe.

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2005
These were good. IF I ever make these again I would cut the cumin in half as it was a little over powering, otherwise they were fairly good, my beef eating husband thought they were great the best turkey burger recipe I have found yet but I am still searching for the one!

Spicy Sausage and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: May 3, 2005
This is an excellent spicy dish. Very easy to make, and it makes a lot for leftovers. I took others advice and doubled the chicken stock and it was just the right amount of moisture. It took 1/2 an hour longer to cook than the recipe stated.

Stephan's Broiled Salmon Pesto

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
The best salmon I have ever had. I didn't add the extra lemon at the end. Next time I will cook closer to the broiler as the salmon was done yet the pesto had not browned or bubbled. Absolutely amazing.

Green Beans with Herb Dressing

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
The sauce was very flavourful but way too much oil it made the dish greasy and too high in calories. I will make again but 1/2 the oil. I let the sauce marinate for 4 hours.

Amy's Spicy Beans and Rice

Reviewed: May 10, 2005
Excellent, easy to make and tasted great. I added half a cup of medium salsa and will switch to 1 1/2 cups of salsa next time and skip the jalepeno. I also added a tsp of garlic and only 1/2 tsp of cumin because of personal preference. I didn't have black pepper and used cayenne instead. This was healthy and very flavourful.

Santa Fe Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 16, 2005
Excellent I follwed the recipe exactly it was amazing. Actually not exact I was feeling lazy so I bought Kraft pre-mixed tex mex cheese it had jalepeno in it and gave the salad a nice kick. I didn't use the crispy pieces of tortilla to lower calories but my husband mixed the crunch so I will use next time.
