These burgers are just awesome! I followed the recipe exactly and they were fantastic, and I can't say enough about how simple but perfect the cajun mayo was. Yum!

Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
This is a simple but tasty recipe for mashed potatoes. I was looking for something slightly different from traditional milk and butter mashed potatoes, but didn't want cream cheese type heavy potatoes so when I found this I had to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Delicious!

Japanese Spaghetti Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
When I first read this recipe, I found the combination of ingredients a little odd. I debated whether or not to try it, but I kept going back to it, so finally I caved in and made it. All in all, not bad1 I'm giing it three stars because it was good, not great. It's definitely different. I'll make it again for sure, but next time I'd like to try a different vegetable rather then the cucumber. Possibly some spinach, or celery. Worth trying!

Hammy Hash

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2005
Not bad at all. Easy enough to prepare, and makes a nice change from plain hashbrowns with breakfast. I added a little bit of grated cheddar cheese and let that melt a bit before adding the sour cream. My kids liked it. What's not to like about ham and potatoes? Thanks Lola!

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2005
I'm giving this recipe three stars because I thought they weren't bad, but my husband found the combination of two types of cheese plus the bacon made them heavy and "fatty" tasting. I won't be making these again, but I think they're worth trying at least once to decide for yourself if the taste and texture works for you.

Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2005
This was really simple and turned out delicious. I didn't have quite enough topping to cover the apples, so I doubled the amount of topping the second time I made it.

Labneh (Lebanese Cream Cheese)

Reviewed: May 30, 2005
Labneh is awesome, and this recipe is no exception, and simple enough to make. I prefer making my own yogurt and then straining it through the cheesecloth. I then shape the labneh into 2-inch balls and store in a jar with olive oil. Alternately, I store the labneh in a separate container and add the olive oil at serving time.

Sylvia's Ribs

Reviewed: May 29, 2005
These spareribs are absolutely delicious! I have been using a recipe very similar to this one for years, although this one leaves more room for the imagination. It's so good and the combination of boiling the ribs and then baking them in the oven ensures tender, fall of the bone ribs every time. I would recommend skimming off the fat that bubbles and rises to the surface during the simmering stage. This sauce is also perfect for stirring into a can of beans for baking in the oven alongside the ribs. Great recipe! Thanks Sylvia!

Chicken Kabobs Mexicana

Reviewed: May 23, 2005
This is a wonderful and very tasty recipe. The combination of lime, cumin and cilantro is so tasty. I like to serve this alongside grilled corn on the cob brushed lightly with a bit of the lime mixture. It's just so delicious that way! This recipe is a keeper that my family and I enjoy at least once a month. Thanks CJ!

Thai Pork with Peanut Sauce

I was tempted to try this recipe using chicken instead of pork, but my husband was in the mood for pork, so I made it exactly as written and it didn't disappoint! Yum! What a wonderful and tasty dish! We really enjoyed the flavor combinations and will definitely be making this again.

Hearty Beef Stew

Reviewed: May 16, 2005
I tried this recipe "as is" and didn't care for it. It was lacking both liquid and flavor. Adding a few ingredients made a big difference. I browned the meat in a saucepan first and then scraped up the brown bits by adding some beef broth and a little bit of dry onion soup mix to the saucepan. I transferred the meat and broth mixture into the crockpot and added the remaining ingredients. This recipe is worth trying but you might want to experiment a little bit to see what flavors you like best and you really do need to add some kind of liquid to make this a stew.

What a cute idea! Fortunately my boys love salad, and this one was no exception. What I really like about this recipe is that it leaves plenty of room for the imagination so the kids will never tire of it. My boys like cucumbers, so I add those sometimes. Thanks Kyle!

Simple Savory Pork Roast

This is such a delicious and simple way to prepare a pork roast. We absolutely love this and make it quite often. Sometimes I omit the rosemary and use savory leaves instead, but either way it's very tasty!
