Perfect, but only marinate for a few hours -- 24 hours is too long.

Pierogi Casserole

I would give this 10 stars if I could. Absolutely perfect for a crowd. This tasted exactly like a really good pierogi, and I'm going to be making it for a Halloween party next week, since it makes a ton. Thank you! (I did double the bacon and added a bit more cheese.)

This was really good! I subbed blueberries for the blackberries and also used unsalted butter for the shortening. It was delicious with fresh whipped cream.... Thank you!

Spicy Bean Salsa

This was too runny and tasted like bottled italian dressing. I brought it to a party, nobody dipped twice into it, and the hostess sent me home with my container 3/4 full. Bummer!

Petite Blanquette de Poulet a l'Estragon (Tarragon Chicken)

This was a little too time intensive for a weeknight dinner but not impressive enough looking at the table to make for guests. It was a little bland, it needed something. But I liked the idea that I was cooking "French" food. :-) Thanks!

Soft Giant Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
I've probably made these 10 times in the past month, they are excellent. I used corn syrup instead of brown sugar, and both regular and fast-acting yeast. They come out great. I've wrapped a 4 inch square around uncooked cheese hot dogs, dropped into the boiling water for a minute, then baked, and they make amazing pretzel cheese dogs. Thank you!

Buttercream Icing

This is a great recipe! I made half of the recipe, which was the perfect amount to decorate 12 cupcakes. I only used unsalted butter -- no shortening, then halved the other ingredients. I also added a tsp of Strawberry extract to it. It was WONDERFUL! Thank you!

Fresh Tomato Zucchini Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
I added 2 celery stalks with the onion. Mine was very loose and watery, so during the last 10 minutes, I added a cup of evaporated milk and two cups of cooked rice to thicken it. Before serving I sprinkled some fresh chopped basil leaves on top, and we passed parmesan cheese at the table. This was easy and good.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING QUICK COOKING LONG GRAIN RICE OR THE RICE WILL NOT BE COOKED!!!!!!!! If you can't find the QUICK cook rice either, use the regular Long Grain and Wild rice, but cook the rice in the broth with step 1 according to the package instructions.)Wow, great soup! I did as others recommended and softened 1/2 an onion, some celery, carrot and garlic in a little olive oil before step 1. I would definitely make this again, Thank you!
