Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
I made the recipe AS IS and it was perfection. I chopped the walnuts until they were very fine and that seemed to work best (less chunky). We ate ours with cinnamon butter and it was fantastic. This is my new 'go to' recipe. Holy YUM!

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
Fantastic! Easy and delicious. I did not change the recipe at all (don't have to, it's wonderful). Instead of soaking the seeds overnight, I decided to "quick brine" them. I boiled them in a brine solution (very salty water) for 10 mn, removed them from heat and let them sit in the hot water for another 10 mn. I patted them dry and immediately tossed them in the ingredients listed. I let it sit for about an hour (it soaks up the flavor better). Then I roasted them at 275 for an hour (to compensate for the moister seed). They were PERFECT. I'll be doing this every year.

Deep South Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
Easy and delicious. My only "constructive thought" is: I found the chicken needed more salt and seasoning, so I'll add more next time. Otherwise, it was better than any other recipe I've found so far for fried chicken.

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
Delicious! I made the recipe as is with a layer of white chocolate instant pudding on the bottom. The kids ate it up all in one day! Next day I made it with just the berries and pudding, no extras. Again, the kids loved it AND I got to cut out the extra sugar.

Cheesy Sausage Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
I used frozen bread dough because I don't have a bread maker. It worked well! Let it rise, roll, let rise, fill with mixture, let rise and then bake! It was delicious! My family asks for it time and time again. I use Cider House Sausage and Swiss Cheese for my own twist on this and there's never any leftovers.

Apple Cranberry Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
The stuffing had great flavor but the chops were tough. I tried it a second time but I drizzled some canola oil on the chops and grilled them over hardwood charcoal. I used the indirect heating method with apple and cherry wood chips to smoke them with. YUM. That method gets 5 stars.
