Jicama Mango Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2013
I LOVED this salad. I served it with grilled chicken tandoori kabobs. The mangos we got were nice and sweet, which makes a big difference. I left out the carrots just because I don't like them, but we didn't reduce the amount of the other spices (zest, raspberry vinegar, etc.) that went in. Also, we cut the ingredients cubed vs. julienne - just a different texture. It did taste better the 2nd day - very refreshing because of the mint and crunchy jicama, sweet because of the mango and tangy because of the vinegar.

Zucchini Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This was just ok, not great. I dislike bland foods and thought this was bland even after adding doubling the garlic, doubling the basil, adding nutmeg, adding 1/2 an onion and lots of salt. The only thing I'd still want to try is to add red pepper to this.

I used fat-free sour cream and it still was moist. Overall, very good!

Chicken with Shrimp Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
It was pretty easy to make since it used common ingredients. I had no tomato paste, so I used a half a 16-oz can of Italian-seasoned diced tomatoes, which added flavor to the sauce.

Really good. I'd add a little more salt.

Warm and Spicy Autumn Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2005
I made this punch last night for some guests and they all loved it. I changed two things after reading the other reviews - I added only 2 cups of pinapple juice instead of 2 1/4. I also cut the baked oranges in half before adding them to the punch, but I don't know if that made a huge difference.
