Toll House Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2005
Oh, this pie is sooooo good! Like the others, I reduced the butter to 1 stick. I also used milk chocolate chips. Otherwise, I didn't change anything else. It tasted just like the Toll House pie I've had in restaurants. It tastes best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream. Mmmmm!

Barbequed Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2006
All I can say is wow! I had no idea what to expect as I have never cooked ribs before. I followed the recipe nearly exactly and they turned out as good as any ribs I have ever had..period. I must admit the ribs did not look appetizing after they were baked, nor did the sauce smell or look particularly good. But when they are basted and grilled, somehow they magically transform into melt in your mouth, delectable, professional quality ribs! I cannot recommend this recipe enough.

Greek Pasta Salad with Roasted Vegetables and Feta

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2006
Wow! This tastes like something from a really upscale deli. It's fabulous. I hardly changed a thing, other than skipping the arugula. It does require some degree of work, but is very much worth it.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2006
As far as chocolate desserts go, this one gives you the most impressive result with the least amount of work. It is simply amazing and delicious! I made it twice last week and am looking for an excuse to make it again. These little cakes are also wonderful the next day just plain by themselves. If you love flourless chocolate cake and gooey brownies, this dessert beats them both in terms of taste and ease.

Asian Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2005
This makes the most delicious salad! It's also versatile. I've had it with regular lettuce, craisins and strawberries. I've also had it with regular cabbage. It's delicious no matter what base you use. The reason is because the dressing and the crunchy topping are both so good. I used only 1/3 cup of sugar and it was still very sweet. Overall, a fabulous salad that everyone always raves about!

Lemon Horseradish New Potatoes

Reviewed: May 9, 2005
This was wonderful! I roasted the potatoes at 400 degrees for about an hour, so they were browned and crispy on the outside, but buttery on the inside. I also made two batches of sauce- one to cook the potatoes in and one to toss them in after they were done cooking. I got rave reviews on this!

Penuche Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
This recipe is fabulous!!I have made it four times already for the holiday season and have gotten lots of compliments. I altered it slightly by omitting the nuts and using 1/2 teaspoon maple flavor instead of the vanilla. It tastes as good or better as anything from a fudge shop.

Nime Chow (Raw Spring Rolls)

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2005
Absolutely delicious! I made mine with rice vermicelli noodles instead of bean thread, plus I added cilantro. I made the lime fish sauce previously recommended, as well as an Asian peanut sauce from the Joy of Cooking. To die for!
