Apple Cake IV

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I made cupcakes and diced the apple instead of slicing it. They came out great and I will be using this recipe again.

I was totally freaked out at making gravy but this came out great. It was gone in minutes and everyone complained that I should have made more. I will be keeping this one!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
My family loved this! I gave it a 4 because the butter stuffed under the skin of the breast made the meat so moist that everyone thought it was undercooked at first. I will use this recipe again but with less butter.

House Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
I gave this 5 stars because it is a very good base. After reading reviews here is what I did. I cooked the rice & let it cool. I then cooked the onion & garlic in the oil. I added only shrimp, carrot, & peas. Then I mixed the soy sauce in w/ the veggies. I stirred the mix into my cooled rice. I then cooked 3 eggs in the same pan & chopped them up to bite size pieces & mixed them in. I refrigerated the whole deal & just before dinner I heated it all up by frying it so that there was a little crunch. It came out as good as our local chinese place!

Sushi Roll

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2006
I was just looking for a good basic rice recipe and this worked well. There was good flavor, not overpowering at all. The only problem I had was that the bottom layer burnt to the pan. That could have been user error though.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
I made this for xmas eve & everyone loved it! i doubled the recipe because i neede 4 quiches & cooked them in 2 pampered chef deep dish pie plates & 2 regular run of the mill pie plates. I didn't have any problems w/ overflow . I also baked everything the night before & reheated the next day & that worked out great. I used fresh crab & shrimp in 1 instead of ham & bacon & it was the best. This recipe will be going into my perment collection!

Early Morning Oven Roasted New Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
I made is before and the taste was pretty mild so this time I changed it up a little. I used olive oil instead of butter, twice as much rosemary and added seasoning salt just before they went into the oven. The flavor was way better however next time i will use 1/2 as much oil.
