Garlic Pita Bread Bites

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2005
Not bad. Mine came out really dry, so I served with garlic hummus. Next time I will use less Italian seasoning, more garlic, and add some olive oil. I served with the Bow tie sausage, tomato, and cream pasta recipe from this site. Love that recipe!

Barbeque Halibut Steaks

I recommend marinating the fish for at least 15 minutes. The sauce recipe is so good you want to taste it. Thanks Duane! We made it with the Tomato Cucumber Dill weed salad! So fresh and summery!

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2005
Fantastic marinade! Please use the grill for this recipe! We used chickan and beef and marinaded for 30 minutes. Pleny of flavor! Double the marinade too. We used green and orange (got to love the orange) bell peppers with onion and wrapped in a tin foil pouch with butter and XVO. Sprinkle the veges with a little bit of cumin. GRILL AWAY! The veges take a little longer than the meat so start them first. Don't forget to garnish with sour cream and grated cheese. We will make again and again. Thanks for the recipe!

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2005
You don't need to soad the corn before cooking with the husks on. I never do. I put the cobs on the grill as is and they come out fresh and tasty!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2005
If you do not have real garlic on hand don't bother making this recipe. I used about 6 cloves of garlic and flipped the chicken half way through. Very simple recipe for a very simple taste! Good stuff, thanks Carol.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: May 18, 2005
Yum! Our sauce turned out sweet, which was very good. We added dried Basil to the sauce. We also used sweet Italian chicken sausages from whole foods. They also have the perfect plum tomatoes there from Italy! Drain the pasta about 2-3 minutes early and let it soak up the sauce by cooking it in the skillet. Thanks!

Sooooo Good! A very mild but fresh and natural taste. We used fresh Italian bread instead of hamburger buns. YUM!

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
This was wonderful! I pounded down the thick chops so they would cook better. I did end up covering them the last 3 minutes to ensure doneness. I had to use jam with seeds which I wouldn't recommend. Always double the sauce recipe! You can never have too much sauce. YUM!

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2005
I give this 3 stars for the idea, but the recipe is way too much. Feel free to play with what is in these wraps. I love the cilantro idea and I will try chicken next time.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2005
Needed more chicken, way too much sauce!! Too much flour too. I could taste it in the sauce. I had to add a lot of salt because it was very bland to me. My Bf liked it though.

Restaurant-Style Chicken Scampi

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
I agree that the recipe was bland. We even used chicken broth and white wine instead of the reserved water, hoping that is would add more flavor. I also added oregano and basil. If we make this again I will add more garlic (much more) and salt.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2005
I thought this was a very easy and tasty recipe. It was slightly salty (which I like) so you might want to skip adding more salt. We also used 2 cubes of vegetable bouillon instead of 3 of beef. Our chops needed to be cooked for an hour. The potatoes came out perfect!
