Latin-Inspired Spicy Cream Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
I loved the flavor of this and it was so easy. I did add more heat and less chicken. I shredded the chicken after it was cooked. I put the fresh cilantro in each bowl before serving. Thank you!

Sweet Pork Slow Cooker Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This was really good. I added one hot pepper instead of the powder cause I couldn't find the powder. I think mine was pretty spicy, but the sweetness went with it perfectly. Thank you!

Mushroom Orzo

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
I think this is the lazy man's risotto. I have made this with venison and also with duck and compliments their gaminess well. The second time I did cut down on the Parmesan cheese, as we thought it was overpowering the other flavors the first time. Thank you!

My first batch of risotto and it was awesome! We halved it since it was just two of us. Thank you!

Creamy Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
My first cheesecake and while it was edible, it wasn't my kind of cheesecake. It was too sugary for me.

Broccoli Chicken Roli

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
This was very tasty. I browned chicken breast chunks and added the veggies on top after they were browned to soften them up a bit. I look forward to mixing up what veggies to add to this. If you are confused on the placement of crescent rolls, there are plenty of pictures people posted that can help you visually.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I followed recipe exactly and when I took the temp. after 2 1/2 hours it was really low, but when I cut into it is was medium well. It seems the meat just got cold the last 1/2 hour so I will just let it sit in the oven for 2 hours next time. The meat came out great though. Thank you for this recipe!

Nell's Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
This recipe is clear where to add the creamy dressing. I'm assuming in with the mayo, but it should be edited.

Rainbow Clown Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
This is a great idea. I have made it a few times for cupcakes and noticed if you want clean layers of color to make sure the batter is thick. When I had thin batter the colors moved around more than when I had thicker batter. I think you just need to use one less egg to make it thicker. It didn't affect the taste. This is my new Easter tradition! Thanks for the idea!

Definitely didn't like the wontons with this. Phyloo is the way to go.

Don't try to marinate overnight with this amount of soy sauce. I did and it was too salty.

Fasolatha

This didn't come out as flavorful as I was hoping. I ended up adding more tomato paste cause it was too watery. I also added cayenne to give it some flavor. I didn't like the smell either.

Sloppy Joe Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
This was a fun idea! We ended up using mostly sharp cheddar with some pepper jack cheese for the cheese sauce and we topped with mozzarella, just because that is what we had. The diced tomatoes added the perfect sweetness. The McCormick Sloppy Joe mix tasted fine to us. Thanks for the fun recipe!

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
Worst measurements for this meal. Way too much sour cream and spinach mixture, way too much cheese, and way too many eggs and cream. I only used 1/2 of the egg mixture for 2 deep dish 9" crusts. Wasteful. And more egg mixture poured out while cooking cause there was no room with all the other ingrediants. Will never make again.

Shearers' Mince and Potato Hot Pot

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
This recipe should say to drain the meat, but that is a common practice when added ground meat to anything. I didn't really understand the 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce so I just added some ketchup. I eyeballed the milk until I thought the cheese sauce had a good consistency-not too soupy. Try adding about 1/2 tablespoon of blue cheese chunks to the cheese sauce (adjust to taste). It perks up the flavor of the cheese sauce. We cooked this for about 45 minutes uncovered and it was fine. This will become our winter regular. Thank you!

Grilled Lemon Herb Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
I put the chops in the marinade and froze them. Cooked them about a week later. Not bad. Reminds me of the swordfish steaks I make so it was kinda weird.
