Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
I could manage to screw up a grilled cheese sandwich and these turned out great. They were not at all "cake-like" as a lot of the reviews claimed. They were fluffy and didn't spread out much but tasted great. The only change I made was to increase the vanilla to 2 tbsp as one of the other reviews stated. After I took out the first pan of cookies, I quickly realized that I needed to make sure they were round and flattened before baking. The second pan came out looking perfect. Thanks for the great recipe.

Banana Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
This was my first attempt at making a Banana Cream Pie. I made it to take to work and everyone loved it. There were no leftovers because the women I work with argued over who got to take the leftovers home. I used 1 vanilla and 1 banana because I was a little bit scared of having too much of that artificial banana taste and it was perfect. I also made homemade whipped cream (from this site) which was a nice compliment. This is easy, cheap, and delicious. Thank you for the great recipe!

Biggest Bestest Burger

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
I would first like to start out by saying how disappointed I was that some people reviewed this without even trying it. The title isn't "Biggest Healthiest Bestest Burger." I can see taking a look at the ingredients and deciding to keep looking but posting a negative review based on ingredients alone seems unfair. I did try the recipe and am giving it 2 stars. These were edible but not anything that my family cared for. My husband took a couple of bites and put it down (I knew then that something was wrong). I followed the recipe to the letter and although I didn’t find it too salty, it did resemble meatloaf and that wasn't what I was looking for. Also, I could really taste the basil. Maybe that is just because it isn’t a taste I would normally associate with a burger.? I will continue searching for a favorite burger recipe and in the meantime, I will go back to just using salt, pepper, and “Montreal Steak” grilling seasonings. Thanks anyway!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
The flavor of this pie was wonderful. This was my first time making such a pie and mine turned out a bit runny. I am still rating this 5 stars because it tasted amazing. I am pretty sure that I didn't cooked it long enough but if I were familiar making this sort of pie, I think I would have had a better idea of the texture I was looking for. I will be sure to try this out again. Thanks for sharing!

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
The only thing I did differently was to double the topping as some of the other users had recommended. This was very good. Fast, simple, and delicious. **I made this again and sauteed the onions in olive oil before adding to the meat mixture. That made this so much better. I recommend doing this!

Cowboy Skillet Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
This was very good. I was a bit skeptical due to the different flavors being mixed but was pleasantly surprised. I used Enchilada seasoning because I didn't have Fajita seasoning. I also added a layer of sharp cheese before putting the corn bread on top. This gave it a nice kick. Thanks for the different/wonderful recipe.

Pumpkin Pie Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
I made this and it turned out very mushy. I made it again and left it in for an hour and fifteen minutes exactly and it was perfect. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2006
This was one of the better recipes for Chicken Wing Dip that I've tried. I made this in the crockpot instead of the oven and it turned out great. Thanks for the recipe.

Italian Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
I do not particurlarly care for shake and bake or most breadings that I have found for pork chops. This one was wonderful and simple. Thanks for the great recipe!

Amish Yumazuti

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
This was good but I didn't think it was anything spectacular. I went with some of the suggestions to add another can of soup and if I wouldn't have, this would have been a bit too dry. I added extra cheese, salt & pepper, and extra garlic. This was a bit bland but still had a good comforting flavor.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
These are the best stuffed mushrooms I have ever had. I made them once and now my husband wants them all the time. I just made them again for a get together and they were gone in about 30 seconds. Definitely a keeper! Great recipe!!

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
This was wonderful. I made it for my husband and father-in-law and they ate every last bit of it. I added real garlic (diced) instead of the garlic powder and added corn about 5 minutes before serving. Awesome recipe!

These potatoes came out great. I diced the onion up and it still had a great flavor. I will keep this recipe handy!

Cheeseburger Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
This recipe was something different for my family to try. It was good but not great. I substituted the spaghetti noodles for egg noodles and added a little extra cheese.

Southwestern Haystacks

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
I found this to be rather bland. My husband enjoyed it but I found it to be lacking something. I tried to spice it up a bit but nothing seemed to hit the spot. Interesting recipe, just not my style.

Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
This was creamy and very tasty. My husband and I both loved it. I added all sorts of frozen (I prefer them instead of canned) vegetables, real mushrooms, and made a few more potatoes than called for. Great recipe!
