Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
This was good, I'll make it again. The marinade time didn't seem like enough but it was perfect, especially when basting with the sauce during grilling. Served with grilled pineapple circles.

Light and Creamy Brown Sugar and Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
If you are looking for a fluffy, chocolate-y frosting, this is the one! It was perfect for my dark chocolate cake. The recipe called for unsweetened cocoa. I used Hershey's Cocoa... it did not say "unsweetened" on it. So I wasn't sure if it was sweetened or unsweetened. Anyway, it turned out delicious! A++++!

Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
This was good! I made it to serve at a BBQ. I substituted regular mayo with FF Miracle Whip and it tasted great. No need for full fat mayo... I would recommend to use the light or fat free version. I reduced the onion to half the amount as recommended. I also followed others' recommendations and steamed the broccoli a few minutes to make it not so hard. I also used tri color tortellini and I think it spruces it up a bit.

Baked Omelet Roll

Reviewed: May 10, 2006
This did not work for me! I could not roll it up, and I buttered the pan as instructed. We ended up eating it in squares, and it tasted to me just like regular eggs... won't try again!

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
The grocery store ran out of ground turkey so I made these with lean ground beef. Added a few splashes of W. sauce. Not bursting with flavor, but good. I bet the flavor comes out more when you make it with turkey.

Salmon with Dill

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
This was good, I'll make it again. It tasted just a tad salty to me, I think it was the salt/onion powder combo. Next time I will reduce or omit the salt... it's not necessary.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2006
This was very good, I will make it again for sure! I made a bundt cake, and I only used about half of the frosting... it was perfect. I couldn't imagine using all that frosting. I also had to eliminate the pecans because my dad can't eat them. I was bummed about that. I can only imagine how this tastes when you add the pecans!!!

Jambalaya II

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2006
I used 2 lbs chicken (thighs were on sale so I used them instead of a whole chicken), 1 lb andoiulle (cajun)sausage, and 3/4 lb shrimp. I took everyone's advice and omitted one green pepper. It was absolutely perfect, will add to the regular rotation!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
Perfect, will make again! I use this chocolate recipe on many things, like drizzling chocolate on biscotti. Always turns out. I agree with other posters - the double boiler method is the best for melting chocolate.

I cut the salt in half, didn't miss it one bit, very good! Will make again.

Lemon Rosemary Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
Very good! I squeezed extra fresh lemon on the salmon, because I didn't think just placing the slices around the lemon gave it enough lemon flavor. Will make again!

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
I think this recipe is as good as the sauce you choose. I used Ragu with mushrooms, which is my favorite jar sauce. I went light on the cheese and it was still great. Fresh parsley and a few dashes of pepper in the bread crumb mixture makes this recipe even better.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
We really liked this! We used very good jumbo shrimp. I felt like it needed some vegetables so I sauteed some red pepper on the side and then mixed it in at the end. I probably would not have rated it as high if I didn't have the JUMBO shrimp and red pepper. We served with brown rice.

Excellent Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
These are absolutely delicious! I read that some reviewers' cookies were coming apart, so I added 1/8 c extra flour as recommended and I made sure that I rolled the cookies into tight balls before placing on cookie sheet. I also reduced salt by half, due to reviews that the cookies were too salty. Will make again and again!

Mocha Walnut Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
These were good! My first batch was a little flat, so I added a touch more flour and that did the trick. I let each batch cool for 5 minutes before moving to serving tray and had no problems with cookies falling apart.

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
I cut down the butter and sugar by 1/3 to save some calories, and it turned out yummy! I think with more sugar and butter it might have been too sweet. Will definitely add this to my fall/winter cooking rotation.

Marmalade Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2005
This was OK. I would have given it a higher rating, but I cooked it 60 mins as it says in the recipe and they came out dry. I wish I would have cooked for 50 mins as another reviewer suggested. I just got busy and didn't check them. Also I didn't expect the sauce to be as thin as water. Will not make again.
