Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
My favourite pancake recipe! I use this with or without blueberries (always fresh ones!) and substitute other berries in season too. I have never been able to wait the suggested hour, but have always had good results. These pancakes are fluffy and yummy. The only change I have made was increase the amount of sugar as I like them to be sweeter on their own.

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
This recipe is good, but not great. If you are looking for a really awesome salmon recipe, I would suggest "starflower"'s Maple Salmon instead. Even easier to prepare and much better flavour. I only default to this one if there is no maple syrup handy.

Souvlaki

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
This is my favourite souvlaki recipe. It is SOOOO easy, and the results are great every time. I use it over and over and it is always a hit with guests. I serve with store bought tzatziki but it is good on it's own too. Serve with Greek salad and a side of roasted potatoes.

Best Formula Three-Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
I thought this recipe was just so-so. The cheese was really expensive. The flavours were just okay. Not bland, but just okay. Not good enough to justify spending that much money on the cheese, let alone time it took to cut into cubes. Like another reviewer said, just shred.

Buttery Corn Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
Made this for Canadian Thanksgiving last night and it was a hit. Very easy to make. Followed the recipe to a T. The only slight complaint was that it was a touch crumbly so it didn't come out of the pan as nicely for presentation as I would have liked. I would not suggest adding anymore sugar to the recipe. It was nice and sweet, but not overly sweet. A perfect side of any meal.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
I made this for Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend and it turned out great. I had bought all the ingredients listed and at the last minute found out that one of my guests was a vegetarian. I omitted the meat in this recipe and was worried about still being able to achieve good flavour, so I increased the amount of broth (I used vegetable stock), herbs, cranberries and apple. I also added a veggie cube in with the onion and celery as I was sauteeing in butter. Awesome results!! I followed some other reviewers suggestions and used sourdough and rosemary potato bread. Delicious! Very happy with this recipe and will definitely make it again and again, with or without meat.

Perogies

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2006
The cheesey potato filling was fabulous! Unfortunately, the dough was really hard to make. The end texture just wasn't the same as store bought. So even though they were really tasty, the effort involved is hard to justify the need to make these from scratch. On the other hand, the filling is great as a side dish on its own!

Incredibly Delicious Italian Cream Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2005
This cake took a lot of prep time and like someone else said, not worth the effort. The result was good, but not superb. No problems getting it out of the pan, nor was it too greasy or bland at any point. Tasted good on the first day as well as the third day. In fact, it turned out absolutely perfectly. Just not worth the effort if you're expecting something spectacular. 3 and a 1/2 stars. Disappointing as I have been saving this recipe for a special occasion.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2004
Never have I been inclined to rate a recipe until now! I never knew that food this good could ever come out of my kitchen!! If you love creamy and cheesy foods as much as I do, this recipe is a MUST TRY (it's easy too). My bf did not enjoy it as much as I did, only b/c he's not a huge fan of creamy cheesy goodness. My changes: reduce cream by 1/2 cup to keep sauce thick, reduce peppers b/c bf is a wuss, use all shrimp, add a variety of mushrooms. But besides that, I stayed true to the recipe in all other respects and the results were phenomenaltabulous! Fit for gods. Thank you so much for sharing!
