Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2015
These were a big hit with my family. I used regular cut bacon and sweet peppers instead of pineapple chucks. I can't wait to try it with pineapple.

Oriental Shrimp Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
Excellent! I added diced chicken breast and mushrooms which I stir fryed with the vegetables, then added the seasonings and broth. I substitued powdered ginger to taste. I also cooked the noodles separately and added them to the soup just before serving. This is great without the noodles for a healthier version. I absolutley love this recipe.

Chicken and Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Delicious. I substituted diced chicken breast cooked with diced onion and added the vegetables to the pasta to cook instead of cooking them in the sauce. I will definately make this again.

Green Bean Okazu

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
This was good. For a healthier version I substituted ground turkey and splenda. I added diced onion at the beginning of the recipe when I was browning the meat. I also seasoned the meat with a little garlic and pepper.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
Excellent! This was a big hit. I followed others suggestions and doubled the sauce, used already made pie crust the kind found in the refrigerator section and I boiled the chicken and vegetables with a couple tablespoons of chicken bullion. Then baked it at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. This is definately a keeper.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
This soup is the best! I drained a large can of black beans and added it to the soup as other reviewers suggested. This soup is a new favorite at our house. I've made it 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I would definately double the recipe if you have a family.

Adobo Chicken with Ginger

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
Excellent! This tastes is just like my mother's adobo. I added one cup of water as another reviewer suggested and it turned out perfect. I forgot to buy fresh ginger at the market so I used the powdered kind. It still turned out great. We're having it for dinner again tonight.

Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2006
Excellent! I really enjoyed this. I adjusted the recipe for what I had on hand and double it with the exception of the bell pepper. I used ground turkey and added a beef bullion cube and 2 tbsp of worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture to give it more of a beef flavor. I also added some diced onion, sauted them with the bell pepper and served it over Jasmine rice. Yummy! This recipe was so fast and easy... great for week nights. Thanks for the recipe.

Almond Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
Another great recipe! I loved these green beens. I use two cans of green beans and one can of stewed tomatos. I recommend using the canned beans as suggested. I tried it with frozen green beans and it wasn't nearly as good.

Insanely Easy Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
This recipe is excellent. It's become a staple at my house. I'm embarrassed to say that I add meat to the recipe. I attempted to make it without the meat, but I was out voted. I brown the meat first, set it aside, then add it back in when I add the tomatos. I've made it with ground beef and ground turkey either way it turns out great. I also use about 5 tablespoons of chili powder, black beans instead of the kidney beans and I haven't used the cumin. I was out the first day I made it and since it was such a hit without it I haven't bothered adding it. Thanks for this recipe.

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
As is the tradition in my house I baked this turkey the day after Thanksgiving. We go to relatvies houses on Thanksgiving day. The Turkey turned out really well. I froze the leftovers for future meals and it was good then too.

Bulgogi (Korean BBQ)

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
This turned out great! I really like bulgogi and was suprised when I stumbled across this recipe. I used pineapple juice instead of wine, because that's what I had and it made more sense to me. At first I used my grill pan, but when the house got smokey I switch to a large skillet and we liked the meat cooked in the skillet better. I really liked this recipe. I even made it two days in a row. I can't wait to taste it barbequed in the summer.

I made this for Thanksgiving and I don't know if I did something wrong, but this didn't turn out very well at all. It was dry.

Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
I made this for Thanksgiving. I made one for my mom's dinner and one for my mother-in-law's dinner. A couple of people liked it a lot and asked who brought it, but I thought it was just okay.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
This recipe was great. My whole family loved it. My three year old who barely eats even asked for more. What I liked best about this recipe was that it was so easy. I used 5 garlic cloves and added a little bit of salt to the seasoned bread crumbs. I plan to make this a lot during the work week.

Lemon Square Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
I had been looking for a good lemon bar recipe and I've finally found it. These were the best I've every had. I added them to my cookie Christmas baskets and they were a hit. My sister-in-law said she had to admit that she was a little jealous that they were better then hers. LOL! I told her I'd share the recipe. I've made them a couple more times since. The only change I made to the recipe was adding a light dusting of powdered suger to the top just before cutting them into squares. I thought it made them look nicer. Thank you for this recipe. It's definately a keeper!

Tina's Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies

I like this recipe a lot. It's a twist on the regular chocolate chip cookie. I added it to my Christmas cookie baskets and I'll definately make this recipe again.

Peanut Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
This recipe makes a quick and easy lunch. I served it with a salad. My kids and I liked it, but my husband wasn't too crazy about it. I think he would have liked it better if I added stir fried chicken. It was to plain for his taste. Since he's my number one taste tester I have to give it four stars.

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
These were awesome! I cut them into small squares instead of breaking them into pieces and added them in my Christmas cookie baskets. I will definately make these every year.
