Restaurant-Quality Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2007
I followed other revierws suggestions and omitted the cornstarch and used herb and butter instant mashed potatoes. Great for cold days. Easy to make too. Looking forward to leftovers.

Dutch Babies II

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2007
these are good, and I will probably make it again. Mine didn't turn out light and puffy. But I was making them with a five year old assistant. I'm sure something was off.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
I thought this was great, very chucky and hardy. My husband thought it was good. I made it in the crock pot while I worked. Potatoes and carrots were still firm while still fully cooked. The mushrooms were perfectly done. I, however, could not find a leek to save my life, so I had to leave that out. Was probably so much better with it. I will make it again (when I can find a leek) Thanks.

Maria's Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
All we can say is WOW! this was awesome. We didn't have a problem with saltiness, we used low sodium beef broth and unsalted butter. We followed another reviews suggestion and added mushrooms. This rice dish was perfectly done and had both a wonderful taste and texture. Thanks.

Noodles Romanoff II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
I disliked this dish, no body and a very strong garlic flavor. I usually love garlic. I added tons of parm, but then it tasted like sour cream, garlic and parm. Not at all like I expected. But my son thought it was delicious. Sorry but I won't be making this again.

Chicken Thighs Surprise

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2007
Very good, easy to make, but a lot of prep. We used chicken breasts that we coated with seasoned salt. Added another layer of flavor, otherwise the dish would have been rather bland. Great with buttered french bread to sop up the extra juice. Hubby loved it.

Korean Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2007
Hubby didn't like it. Five year old ate one. I thought it was OK. I don't remeber this dish when I was in Korea, but i like the raw fresh veggie idea. Thanks anyway.

Winter Vegetable Hash

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
Good and healthy. It was good, but not great. Too much time and effort for just a "good" recipe. But you gave me a good start on producing my own veggie hash. Thanks Rebecca.

Koula's Best Ever Chicken Gyros

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2007
I am giving this three stars only becaue my picky 5 year old liked it. My DH drowned it with the yogurt I took one bite and nearly choked. The curry is overwhelming. I won't be making this again.

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
Awesome! I never really cared for black beans but between the cheese, corn and salsa who noticed. I forgot to add the sugar but they were probably better without it. My 'pickest then most' 5-year old ate until he bit into a black bean. Oh well, nice try. But we made a New years resolution to eat at least two meatless meals a week. This is going into my regular rotation. Oh, and DH is finally full!

I had similiar issues with unpleasant sogginess. No one in my house would eat it. Glad others are enjoying it. Just not our thing.

Seafood Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
Everyone raved over it. I actually had to leave some for one person. At first it tasted like sour cream, but I followed the others and made it the night before and added the entire package of veggie soup. I also divided the amount of crab and tiny shrimp. Good Stuff.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
Great! I wasn't sure about the ground turkey, as it can be a bit bland. But it was flavorful and tender. Because I am on a low cal diet, I omited the cheese. This recipe was tasty enough without it. Insted of ketchup I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. Perfection.

Chicken Lasagna III

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2006
Very Good. I used a mixture of mozzerella sharp cheddar and monterey jack. (I didn't have enough of any one type) Wonderfully cheesey and rich, but a bit soupy, but that was probably my mistake. This is a keeper.
