Pollo (Chicken) Fricassee from Puerto Rico

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
This was pretty good, it smelled great while cooking. I didn't add the peppers for personal tastes, but my hubby (he is Puerto Rican) said is tasted authentic. But the chicken dried out in reheating.

Puerto Rican Garlic Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
Simple tasty and inexpensive, my three favorite words. I thought it was excellent so did my hubby though he doesn't remember this particular mix of flavors while he lived in Puerto Rico. Still worthy of permanent place in my rotation.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
My Hubby is a Ranch fanatic. He puts on just about everything, the same with cheese. He gives it four stars because it wasn't ranchy enough. I used seasoned salt instead of regular salt and cut back to 3 tablespoons of butter. I liked it but because to the calories and fat, i will only used it for special occasions. Thanks

Lemon Ginger Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2007
Lots of potential in this one. The sesame was a bit overpowering for my taste. I will make this again with less sesame oil and a bit more ginger.

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Easy and quick, but very bland even with the addition of garlic and onion. I will make them again but add more spices.

Oven Fried Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
We both enjoyed this dish. Nothing stood out to us as dominating, but a somewhat nice alternative to traditional fried chicken. I was hoping for a stronger garlic flavor. I'm 12 weeks preg and craving garlic. However the chicken was prefectly done and juicy. We will be making this again. Thanks

Breakfast Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
We all enjoyed this recipe. I didn't have parchment paper so I lined the pan with aluminium foil sprayed with cooking spray. To make it faster I used frozen hash browns. Everything turned out perfectly. Thanks for the recipe.

Baked Pork Spring Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
I only followed the baking method to use with yakimandu. I love asian food, but a lot of it is so fattening that I don't get to enjoy it as often. Thank you so much for the chance to 'have my cake and eat it too' awesome recipe.

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2007
My mom used to make this all the time. My Dad was in the navy so he was quite familar with it. My husband and I were both in the Army and I was never once served this, but that is neither here nor there. We make this with ground turkey, minced garlic and onion, an extra dash of wort, sauce and salt and pepper. The most important part: to be authentic it must be served over buttered toast. S.O.S stands for S*** on a Shingle. Shingle being buttered toast. Thanks for the recipe.

mine didn't look at all like the picture. I did change it a bit to suit my family's taste, but it was still quite tasty. Will make it again.

By the way, couldn't fine a bone-in turkey breast so used a boneless. turned out just fine with time and temp adjustment. on low for 4 hours.

Good, not great. Like other reviewers the strawberries tasted rather sour, but over all the pancakes were good. We are going to try different fruits.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2007
I was excited about this recipe. We all agree. We'll keep looking. The chicken was dry and the cheese disappeared. Many of the problems the other complained about. But I used cornbread stuffing (that is all I could find) The cream of chicken soup and stuffing were the best parts.
