Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
made from start to finish in the crock pot using up the last of venison in the freeze. Venison can be a bit tricky but using this method it was tender and moist. Added about 3 oz of tomato sauce also taking up space in my fridge. All in all good recipe. Thanks.

Vegetarian Moussaka

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
My family loved this this. My very picky 10 year old had seconds even though it was full of *gasp* vegetables. It was time consuming and a little in the expensive side to make but the results are so worth it. I did roast the veggies instead of frying just a personal preference.

Classic Fried Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2012
My oh so picky 10 year old didn't come up for air then ate his oh so picky brother's portion. I stir fried some frozen peas and carrots before adding the rice. Omitted the green onion and added about a teaspoon of fresh ginger just because.

Delicious Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
name says it all. I did forget to add the garlic but it was tasty enough without it. I added about a half cup of water to the marinate then boiled it until it reduced for a mighty tasty sauce. Served it with minute rice and a salad. took about 10 minutes from start to finish.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
I've tried many other baked french toast recipes with little success. When my husband told me this was a keeper I knew I finally found a keeper. I thought the syrup was a bit too sweet but thats an easy fix.

Garlic Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2012
this recipe is very forgiving as how I didn't have the recipe in front of me when I made it missed the garlic and didn't have fresh dill. I used garlic and onion powder and dried dill and it was yummy and easy. Best part, no pan to clean.

Cheese Lover's Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
I shouldn't be rating and review this recipe because I made several changes but without them it would have scored much lower. While I was mixing the ingredients together the mixture looked way too dry so I mixed in about 1/4-1/2 cup milk and about 1/2 cup of mayo. Used wide egg noodles instead of macaroni because that is what I'm used to. I cut the cheese back a smidgen added pepper, garlic and onion powder. Otherwise it would have been very bland. However now, its my new tuna casserole recipe.

Rotini Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2012
I only made this to use up some stuff hanging out in the pantry. I'm not terribly thrilled with the outcome. Only change I made was subbing crushed chez-its for the corn flakes. Bland, bland, bland.

Peppered Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
This sauce was delicious. I will make it again and put it on everything. The chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. In my opinion the pepper was overpowering. I made it as the recipe stated. I will make it again but back way down on the pepper. BTW I did like it as is but no one else did.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Wow This is rich and SWEET! I made it with my 4 year old son and my 4 year old niece as helpers and it was so simple. I used all natural peanut butter with flax seed and the cooking crust was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The chocolate chips didn't melt but got just soft enough to stick to the cookie. The marshmellows did make the cookie a challenege to cut but after cutting it who cares it was peanut buttery, chocolate gooyness to the max. LOVED IT!

Taco Bake I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I used ground turkey, light colby jack cheese and fat free refried beans to lighten it up. Since I was baby sitting a friends kids I let them use this as a dip with multigrain totsitios. It was tasty but I was at a loss as to what to serve with it. I will use it as a hot dip but itsn't practicle as a main dish.

this was my first go around with home made spaghetti sauce and I was really concerned about the thickness and taste but the next day it was great. I really recommend making it the day before serving.

Campbell's® Turkey and Broccoli Alfredo

simple and tasted good. Not something for everyday consumption. I did add a bit of milk and sour cream to the soup just to thin it out a bit as well as a dash of pepper for color.

I liked this a lot. I can't make a whole lot of spicy food so I decreased the red pepper flakes and it tasted fine.
