About this Cook
Im a wife and mother of 3 as well as a full time daycare provider and part time student. My biggest challenge is finding food that all of the chldren in my life will eat.
My favorite things to cook
I like making hearty soups and stews during the colder months. The rest of the year I like making different cold salads and marinades. I always love to bake. Its something easy that my children can help me with.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I dont have very many of my own, but ive started some with my kids. Christmas cookies, birthday cakes and holiday meals are things they get really excited about helping with. Sunday morning breakfast has also become a nice opportunity for them to help.
My cooking triumphs
I just hosted my first Christmas dinner for 28. Ive done holidays before with 1/2 the people so I was a little overwhelmed. I opted to do a puerto rican xmas meal rather than the traditional ham or turkey. Everything came out really well. I was very proud.
My cooking tragedies
I used to always add too much salt in the early stages of stews and soups. I would add more water to make up for it. but them it would dilute the good flavors and eventually i would run out of room in the pot. I did this 2 or 3 times before I finally got the hang of it.

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies
These were truly phenomenal. I followed the recipe as stated except we made them slightly larger and used the whole mint instead of half. I made them for Christmas and they vanished in no time. Thanks for a great recipe.

Better Than Best Fried Chicken
My family loved this recipe. Like others suggested, I added etra seasoning to the flour mixture and I added about 1/2 cup buttermilk to the soup. The gooey fingers were worth it. Thanks!!

Buttermilk Pancakes II
These are the best! I made a whole batch on the weekend and had enough to freeze for my daycare kids during the week and they tasted just as good. Thanks
