Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
This pie was absolutely fabulous. My husband loves pies and was asking for one for weeks, but I just couldn't find the recipe I was looking for. Well, then I came across this little beauty and knew I'd hit the jackpot. I think we ate the entire pie in one sitting. He asks for it at least twice a month now. Thanks so much for saving the day with your recipe!!!

This was my first time to make Shepherd's Pie and this was a great recipe to start with. It was very straightforward and easy to follow, and the end result was great! I was so stuffed!!

Double-Layer Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
This is my absolute favorite way to have pumpkin pie. You just can't go wrong with pumpkin and cream cheese in the same dessert. I've been making this for a few years now and it's just not Thanksgiving without it!

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
We can't get enough of these cookies. There are so many possibilities, and I think that's what I like most about this recipe. My husband raves about every batch of cookies I make, as long as they're from this recipe! It's so easy and user-friendly. Definitely a keeper and great to have on hand when you need a quick treat. Thanks!

Almond Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
These were wonderful cookies. I didn't have any almond extract so I used coconut, and replaced the maraschino cherries (we don't like them) with shredded coconut. Took them to work and they were gone in an instant! I was glad I left a dozen aside at home for the family. Very good with coffee. Thanks for sharing!

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2005
This recipe was great! I only made a few minor modifications. I used more potatoes and boiled them in 4 cups of chicken broth, which I substituted for some of the milk ( I didn't have enough milk for 7 cups). I then added a little Velveeta (about 2/3 cup), some garilc salt and onion powder. It was fabulous! My husband wasn't feeling well and requested potato soup, and I'm so glad I found this recipe. We both loved it!!! Thanks for sharing! :-)

Pumpkin Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This recipe is well worth it's lengthy list of ingredients. I make it every year during the holidays, and I have to hide a piece for myself or else I won't get any. I have never had a leftover slice in the five years I've been making it!

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2005
This pie is fabulous! This was my first attempt at a french silk pie, and it turned out perfect. I love that it's a lighter dessert and I don't feel like I'm gaining weight with every bite. My husband loved it also. It's definitely worth the effort to beat the eggs for the length of time that the recipe states. This one is a keeper! Thanks Ruth.

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2005
This is the best salmon recipe I've come across so far. The only change I made was marinating the fillets for two hours. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly and it was wonderful. My husband loved it and is actually looking forward to having salmon again! Thanks for a great recipe Norma!

Cajun Style Blackened Snapper

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2005
This recipe was a nice change for a fish dish. We're kind of weenies when it comes to spicy dishes, so I cut the cayenne pepper in half and added some Old Bay seasoning, and it was wonderful! My husband likes it and he rarely eats spicy food. Great recipe and thanks for sharing- will definitely make again!
