Country Apple Dumplings

After reading other reviews, I only added 1 cup of sugar into the butter. I also added a 1/2tsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp of sugar and tossed it into the apples. Came out FANTASTIC! A Keeper!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Came out Fantastic! I followed everything except I added : 2 (20oz each) shredded (thawed) potatoes, ½ red pepper diced, ½ green pepper diced, 1 medium diced onion, added ½ can of cream of mushroom and ½ can of condensed chicken (along w/ the 2 cans of condensed cream of potato), ½ tsp. of pepper, and a cup extra of cheddar cheese. Not salty, and not over powered by the sour cream! Delicious!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

This is sooo good! This is what I did when I doubled the recipe and did not add the mushrooms. I cut chicken into strips, season it, and saute them with 3 cloves of garlic (I used a lid to soften the chicken) . For the white sauce mixture, I added about a cup of white wine,, fresh spinach, and 4 cloves of crushed garlic, and added a pinch of salt to taste, then followed the recipe as is. I then poured it over al dente spiral noodles in a deep dish casserole, mixed in 2 cups of mozarella covered with foil, and baked for about 30 to 40 mins. Awesome!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

I made this cake for my husband's b-day. It was a huge hit! Super moist, fudgy, and very rich! I used 1 cup of cocoa and put chocolate ganache(I found recipe on this site) on top. Excellent!

Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

I've been making this recipe for a yr now. It is by far the most requested salad, everyone loves, loves, loves it! The changes that I do is steam the fresh broccoli florets for about 8 to 10 mins tops, remove broccoli from steamer and shock it under cold water. I then pat dry (w/ paper towel) the broccoli for any excess water. Mix salad and put in fridge over night. Simply delicious the next day! I do not add seeds or raisins.

Carrot Cake III

I have made this cake about a dozen times. The best cake I have ever had. I do not make the frosting in this recipe. I use a frosting from Paula Dean on this cake. I swear by it. Its the best. Not too sweet and you still have that nice flavor of the cream cheese. Icing: 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract To make the icing: Combine the cream cheese and butter in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the sugar and mix at low speed until combined. Stir in the vanilla and mix again. If you want a thicker and lighter frosting, I Folded in a whole tub of cool whip and put in fridge until ready to frost and serve.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Fantastic! When pork was done, I seasoned it with about tsp of dried basil and italian seasoning. I added about a cup of baby spinach to mixture while it was simmering. To thicken sauce a bit I added 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch. I topped it off with fresh grated Pecorino Romano & Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Great! A huge hit!!!

Banana Crumb Muffins

This was a huge hit this morning! I woke up really early to make these...The best banana muffins ever!!!! I made 12 huge muffins and half of those added chocolate chips. Other than that did not need to alter the recipe. Simply perfect!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

This was the best Turkey I have ever made. My husband said it was the best turkey he had ever had. Very moist and very good. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of mixing the seasonings with a cup of butter. I then put the butter mixture underneath the skin of the breast and around the turkey. I had also put 6 fresh rosemary sticks, half onion, one big red apple cut in half, and one cinnamon stick into the cavity of the bird. I had let it sit in the fridge over night. OMG! After basting it every 30 mins and 5 hours later it was excellent! I am definitely making this next yr.

Pizza Without the Red Sauce

My family and I love this pizza! This was my first time making this, and came out outstanding. This is great to impress your family & friends, especially those who enjoy Italian foods. I made extra pesto b/c personally I like my pizza coated with a little extra.

World's Best Lasagna

This was my first time making lasagna and it came out perfect and tasty! I on the other hand did not make it the night before and let it sit in the fridge. I wanted to use fresh basil but b/c I was making it same day I used dried basil. Reading other reviews I had cut back on the salt. It came out delicious! Husband and kids ate it all up. I will definitly be making this recipe over and over again.
