Really great recipe. Try adding a candied pecan cluster for an interesting garnish.

Good recipe but not great. The hazelnuts seemed a bit out of place.

A Pad Thai Worth Making

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
Considering how good this recipe was for the price and time it was a 5 star hands down. Great recipe. Next time I make it i'll add more vegetables and maybe some marinated mushrooms. Don't think about substituting the chile sauce it makes the dish.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
I made this for my roommates and even the ones that are avid fish haters loved it. I added a maple praline to the top of each fillet to bring all the flavors together. In the future I think I may used crushed pralines instead of pecans. To make the pralines us pecans, maple syrup, some honey, and maybe a bit of sugar. Heat in a small sauce pan until it is just barely bubbling, then spoon small bunches onto wax paper and wait to cool. The maple flavor helped to mix the sweetness of the pecans and the flavor of the salmon.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
Good but not great. I am somewhat of an amatuer when it comes to oriental dishes so it is quite possible that I got something wrong. The amount of pre-prepared ingredients also makes me suspect that the overall quality of the dish is heavily dependent on the quality of the ingredients (if my hoisin sauce is bad the dish will be bad). I can see that this recipe has a lot of potential as a strong base for other lettuce wrap recipes.

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I would really give this recipe a four and a half but I just don't think its a five. The five star recipes I try on this site knock my socks off. Although this recipe is very good, and definatly one that I'll make again I don't believe it should be ranked as one of the "Grand Daddies". If your debating about it make it. It's relatively easy and good. It is very good on top of crackers as well.

Cheddar Herb Bread

Incredible. I made this for a dinner party and it was the first thing gone. Since then I've made it three or four more times with the same results. Make sure to cook it all the way though.

Orange-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
My room mate made this for us and it was great. He added a side of lemon noodles (spaghetti noodles, olive oil, lemon juice, red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, parmesian) with a little bit of extra glaze drizzled over it. The side complimented the pork perfectly.

Chicken Lasagna with White Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
This was a good recipe. I made this for a dinner group I had and everybody seemed to enjoy it. I did however make some variations: 1.Reduce to one can of soup. 2.Use fresh spinach and sautee it with olive oil and minced garlic. 3.Use chicken in only the middle layer. 4.Use fine ground sausage (spicy if that's your taste) to sprinkle on top. 5.I also used a bit of Romano cheese on the top. The great thing about it is that it's a good base recipe, and you can add dozens of variations to suite your own taste.
