Sea Bass Cuban Style

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
Excellent recipe. I have made twice in past week! I pan roasted the bass rather than poaching in the sauce. Also, I had a can of fire-roasted tomatoes on hand, so I used those and didn't add the green olives until last minute to promote a brighter color/flavor. Served over bed of fresh, steamed spinach. Thanks so much for the recipe....it will be a regular dinner menu item!

Excellent recipe. I omitted the butter and added dry dill weed. This may be my new favorite way to cook salmon!! Thanks for sharing!

Cheese Crispies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
My mother-in-law made these for years and I have taken over since her death. Our family loves these so much. One difference in our recipe is that we use about 1/2 of the cheese that this recipe calls for....I don't know, but this might cut down on the "greasiness" that some reviewers wrote about. And they really are "addictive".

Oven Brown Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2005
Tried this for dinner party. Good results...glad I read the other reviews before I made it. Used brown basmati rice, low sodium broths, garlic powder. Added sauteed mushrooms and shallots, and added 1/4 cup water. It took about 1 hour and 45 mins. (covered for 1/2 the time). Would make this again. Thanks!!!

Grilled Orange-and-Bourbon Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2005
Served this at a dinner party. It was a real hit. The only variation I used was to grill the salmon on cedar planks, so it took a little longer....it was GREAT!!! Thanks!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2005
I have never been much of a baker...but since my daughter went to college, it only seemed right to send her home made cookies. Well, I ate one before shipping and I was soooo pleased with the results. My daughter will probably faint when she gets them!!! Thank you for a great recipe; I'll make them again and again (now that I know I can actually bake something!)
