Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
I've made several variations of this salad, and this one was the best. I had so many compliments. The only change I made to this recipe was an idea I got from a previous reviewer, and that is: Before toasting the crushed noodles and cashews, spray them with spray butter and sprinkle the seasoning packet from the ramen noodles over top. It adds flavor and is an easy step to incorporate. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
These are so good if you love peanut butter and chocolate! I like to put the pan in the freezer for about 20 minutes or so. Then once you get your chocolate/peanut butter melted when you add it to the base it sets much faster. Plus I love my desserts cold! Anyway you end up doing them... they are delicious and so fast and easy!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Making sauces and dressings just makes sense for us. We know exactly what goes in them and they taste better!! This is my go to teriyaki sauce recipe!! It's really incredibly simple and turns out fantastic every time!! I do always double the recipe... but before simmering it I will remove enough to use in the crock pot. Then the remaining I hold onto for adding to the chicken at dinner as well as for the rice. Everyone loves it!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
This was a good easy recipe! I love that you just throw it all in the crock pot and let it go all day! The house smelled delicious! This would have been good with some egg noodles too! Thank you!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
This was pretty good overall... the juice was good, but it would have been better with the beef broth rather than the water. For some reason I can't find the right kind of meat to use that just literally falls apart when you shred it with a fork. I have tried chuck roast and rump roast and neither one shredded well for me. (Any suggestions?) I did cook on low the entire time as well. So I don't know! Maybe it's the meat, in any case, this was a good recipe and I will use it again, I'll just modify it a bit! Thanks for sharing!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
YUMO!!! The only things I would change for next time would be to use a knife and cut the corners to right angles... rather than rounded... b/c this makes it hard when you roll it up... I mean you kind of lose a little of the cinnamon buns since the dough isn't the same length on both sides... I still used mine, but those ones came out harder than the other ones b/c they were mainly dough. Anyway... the other thing I did do was I cut the dough in more than 12 slices. The slices with 12 were WAY too big. I basically cut the roll in half in the middle, then I cut each of those in half at the middle, and so on until I felt the rolls were a good size. I didn't have any trouble with losing the goo either... I made extra icing b/c we love that part, but I shouldn't have... the recipe calls for the right amount, so next time I won't double it! This was delicious and I plan on making them again! Thanks for the recipe!

Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
I think this recipe was good, but I think it needed more directions. You don't fry the shell per say... you place it in the pan with oil for a short time until it's plyable and easy to fold. I only had mine in for 7-10 seconds on each side. Plus I added taco seasoning to the beef just like if you were making tacos... I don't think this would have had near enough flavor if I wouldn't have done that... it would have been bland, especially since the recipe doesn't call for any other spices, onions, or garlic. But in the end, with some minor changes it turned out good and everyone liked it!

S'mores Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
These S'mores Bars really do resemble that campfire toasted S'mores! I was surprised actually. I do think it's important to really spray the pan before putting in the graham crackers... I sprayed my pan like I normally would and I still had some trouble getting them off the bottom of the pan, but that doesn't change the outcome! We will be using this recipe often!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
My kids never used to be such picky eaters, but all of a sudden they just are! I made this recipe hoping I wouldn't have to ask them to eat 5 million times during dinner! I got my wish because they chowed down! They ate everything I gave them with out me asking them one time to eat, then asked for more! We had one leftover chicken breast, in which they shared for lunch the next day! It heated up very nicely in the oven! Thank you! This is a keeper and we'll make it often!

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
This is a recipe I make often. It's one of our families favorites!! WE LOVE IT! I only change 2 small things: Use an ARM ROAST. They have less fat and they shred SO much easier. We buy all our meat at an Amish meat market... so everything is fresh. Which in my opinion, makes a big difference when you are making this recipe. They even trim the fat for me! Second thing is I leave out the liquid smoke. This is SO easy to make and absolutely delicious. We serve it with Hawaiian sweet rolls and it's wonderful! Thank you for posting this wonderful recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
Incredible! My husband said that these wings were better than a restaurant chain in our neck of the woods called Wings Etc... The sauce tasted PERFECT!!! It wasn't too hot, but if you wanted it hotter, you just add crushed red pepper. Instead of placing the deep fried wings in the sauce and cooking on the stove, we just tossed the wings with the sauce so the wings would keep their 'crunch'. Thank you so much for this recipe, we'll use it over and over again!!!!
