These are so easy and taste amazing!! I also don't have a bread maker so I followed the suggestions from another review. I used hot water and added my milk (and I used almond milk b/c we try not to have dairy) anyway, I microwaved it for about 45 seconds to a minute. I then added the sugar to dissolve. Once that was done I added the yeast, stirring until it was also dissolved, then let it sit until it was foamy... about 10 minutes. Then I added the egg, salt and butter; mixed well, then added the flour a half cup at a time. I allowed it to rise for 45 minutes, punched it down, separated into 16 rounds, allowed to rise again for another hour. Baked as directed. They were fantastic!! I will make these over and over.
