Thighs on Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
This was a great recipe for last minute! I had chicken thighs and searched this site to find this recipe. Everyone loved it, I did add carrots b/c we all love them. Next time I will remove the skin as it does produce alot of grease...but it was soooo yummy! Thanks for posting this recipe!! It's a keeper for us.

Very good! A woman I work w/ brought these in and passed out the recipe! I ate two and thought they were delicious! I'd like to try sub'ing all the sugar to splenda...has anyone tried this w/ success? If so, how much did you use and was it too sweet? My father is diabetic and that is all he uses...

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
Awesome base to start with! I never made a good stew that we all liked until now! I did what one reviewer did and threw meat in a bag w/ flour, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper. Also I used 3 cans of beef broth, and added the tbsp each of ketchup, A-1, and Worcheshire sauce. Served with dumplings, it was a hit!

Hearty Bean Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
This was excellent. The first batch I made, I tried to do w/ dried beans and I probably didn't do the soaking method right...beans tooo hard. So, went to store bought some Grandma Browns just to put dinner on the table! It was excellent! As soon as I figure out what I did wrong I'll try again w/ dried beans, pinto and kidney.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
This was soooooo yummy! I didn't have ground cloves, nutmet or allspice.....but I did everything else, and added ground pepper. I marinaded all night, put in the over the next afternoon, along w/ onions, carrots and potatoes. I added 1 cup of water about 1/2 way through the cooking and the juice it made was excellent! I've never made a chicken that I liked or my kids liked. They are always dried out and blah! I can't thank you enough for this fabulous recipe!

Haddock Marinara

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
I order something similar to this when I go to my fav Italian restaurant. I loved this recipe! I actually sauted the onions and garlic on low for about 5-10 mins, then added all the ingredients and baked. I just used plain sauce from a jar, no chunks of tomato at all. It was still delicious! Thanks for a great recipe!

Red Cabbage Salad II

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Excellent! I love putting red cabbage in my salad, but never thought to make it the main ingredient! Everyone loved it. Instead of using all the ingredients for the dressing, I just used an envelop of Good Seasons and used extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar. The best, thanks for the idea!!
