Almond-Topped Spiced Peaches

These peaches were so good. I made this to use up some fresh peaches, and I served them with blueberry pancakes - no syrup required. All of my guests loved it! Thank you!

Pumpkin-Apple Muffins with Streusel Topping

My teenage sons helped me bake these for a school bake sale. They were a hit, though it was hard not to eat them before they got to school!

The Humble Shepherd

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
My husband loves this! I changed a few things - Instead of gravy, I mixed the turkey with bbq sauce. I also added garlic to the mashed potatoes, and used corn as the vegetable. I topped with cheddar and colby. It was great. I love this recipe because it's easy to substitute what you've got on hand. Thank you.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
This was yummy! I made a few substitutions (to use what I had on hand.) I used 1/2 c. ketchup and 1/4 c. bbq sauce (I ran out of ketchup) I also used spicy brown mustard, fresh garlic, and red bell pepper. My kids loved this as well. Thanks!

Dump Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
My 4 year old daughter and I enjoyed making this cake together because it's so easy. We used cherry pie filling, pineapple chunks (I was out of crushed) and added walnuts on top. We served it with whipped topping. My daughter even ate a bit of the finished product (which is rare since she doesn't like to try new things) My teenagers just about licked their bowls clean, so I'd say it was a hit with them. Personally, I found it to be a bit too sweet, but I still enjoyed it. I think next time, for me, I'll just have a little spoonful of the cake with some vanilla ice cream. I would definitely make this again - I know my kids will ask for it.
