Rattlesnake Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
LOVED this. Used 1 C heavy cream and an additional 1/3 C of half and half to make more sauce. It was a dish to be proud of for sure!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
Very good. I used a 3 lb "pork end roast" that included bones. I set the crock pot on 10 hours on low, but pulled it out after 9 and it was done. I used Sweet Baby Rays Hickory and Brown Sugar Sauce.

Baked Ziti I

Very popular with the family. I make it with hot Italian sausage instead of beef. This dish is easily 12 servings.

Butterscotch Brownies III

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
I really like these. I did leave off the icing though- I wanted something that wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet. I have to remove these from my house after I make them, otherwise I'll eat them all in 24-36 hours. No joke!

Made these as 48 mini muffins instead. 10 min cooking time. Awesome! :)

Butternut Squash Bisque

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
I liked this so much more than I expected to. The only change I made was that I halved the squash and roasted it at 400 for an hour, and then just pureed all of the soup with my immersion blender. It's just easier that way. Fall in a bowl!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2006
Definitely good! The crumb topping makes this awesome. I did only put half as much on, though. One other tip- make sure you use smaller berries. I used berries that were nearly grape sized and that creates some big gaps in the muffins. Still tasted great though!

Aunt Millie's Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
Well loved by the adults and children alike. I should note that I halved the topping (Used butter crackers instead of croutons too) and I think next time I will add a little garlic. I will probably make this as a side for holiday dinners!

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2006
I used this crust for a cherry pie. I had some trouble with it being too sticky (even with less water), but rolling between wax paper helped a little. I brushed it with a beaten egg and it was beautiful. I will definitely make again.

Baked Fresh Cherry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2006
My first Cherry Pie. Simply awesome. A cherry pitter (tool) was much easier than using a knife to pit each cherry. I will definitely make this again!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: May 16, 2006
The only change I made was using Godiva liqour instead of coffee liqour. I receive many compliments on this cake, although some have commented that it is too rich for them.

These are excellent cookies and turn out moist and chewy. Very rich though!

Apricot Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
This is a nice change from the usual lentil soups. The only changes I made to the recipe were that I added twice as much apricot (and heck, next time I'll triple it) and I also had to add an extra cup of water because it got very thick.

Butternut Squash Casserole

I loved this. My whole family loved this. I modified the recipe to include the ritz cracker topping rather than the cookies. If you like egg custard, you'll love this.

This is really good. I forgot to buy 2 cans of broth, so I used 1 can broth and 1 can water. Turned out just as tasty.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2005
This soup is great with cornbread! I make a pot on Sunday and eat it all week for lunch. My only addition is some hot sauce while I'm eating it, as it is slightly bland. But, very filling and satisfying!

Award Winning Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2005
Absolutely Awesome! I modified the recipe a bit- I used a rose wine instead of white because of what I had on hand, I used 1 pound of beef, and I added both corn and about 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Sweet and a little spicy. Throw a little green tabasco on top, yum! Easily the best chili I've ever had.
