Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
I made this cake for my mother-in-law's birthday. Very little deviation from the recipe--added a little applesauce and cinnamon. With sifted powdered sugar, it is very pretty.

Al's Sufferin' Succotash

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
This was very good. I cooked frozen lima beans in water/sugar/salt for 15 minutes. The water nearly evaporated toward the end. So I added some 1/2 and 1/2 cream and 1.5 T butter. It was sweet. My 6-year-old had seconds!

Chocolate Cookie Buttercream Frosting

Easy to make. Flavor was a little light. I added a little extra milk, which made it creamier. It stayed creamy even after several hours.

Brown Sugar Oatmeal Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
These were very good. I have been looking for a healthier pancake recipe for my family, but others have tasted too much like tree bark. This recipe is a touch of sweet with a little nutiness. That may be because I added milled flaxseed and wheat germ (just a bit) with the oats. I would much rather eat these on-the-go in the morning (so good by themselves) than a cereal bar! My kids (6 adn 5 yrs) love them!

Bacon Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
I used boneless chicken breast, which came out very tender. I also cooked the bacon after baking the dish, so it would be crispy. The sauce did not make as much as the picture looks, so next time I will make more sauce. Very tasty dish!

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2006
This recipe is so versatile. I have made it as is, which is wonderful. This time I mixed it up, using some cinnamon applesauce in place of some oil, some whole wheat flour in place of some white flour, then added some flaxseed, extra zucchini and 2 bananas. I made 1 loaf and 8 mini loaves. It still turned out delicious and moist. My preschoolers really enjoyed it.(I added a Hershey kiss in the middle of their mini-loaves.) I will probably use even more spices next time.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
Very good--I added shredded zucchini and only cooked the vegetables about 20 minutes so they were not mushy. I also added an extra can of beef broth to create more gravy.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2005
These are wonderful! I used 1/2c margarine, 1/2 butter shortening, as well as 1/2 cake flour since I ran out of all-purpose. They are such an indulgence! Great recipe!
