White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
This took a lot longer to cook than stated - at least for me, and for some reason the crust got kind of mushy in places, but the flavor was really nice - my hubby really enjoyed it. Thanks!

Mock Champagne

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
This was a nice punch, a tad too sweet for my taste, but went over great at the baby shower I hosted. I used diet gingerale and unfortunately couldn't make an ice ring as my punch bowl isn't large enough to accomodate one. Froze some raspberries in gingerale in ice cube trays instead. Good recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
My hubby LOVED this soup!! I made it the day before he was supposed to have it for work, but he couldn't wait that long and had it for supper! Made it exactly as stated. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Chicken Noodle Soup

Pretty good. Quite thick and hearty soup. Only complaint is that it needs more flavor. I added more bouillon powder, seasoning salt and a touch of poulty seasoning.

Breakfast Casserole II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
Quite good!! Cooking time was quite off for me, I had to add about 20 mins to it and I was using convection which usually speeds things up! I thought the flavour was really good, but my brunch guests added quite a bit of salt and pepper, so maybe its a little lacking in that respect. Made the recipe exactly as stated except subbed light cheese instead of regular to save a few calories. Overall, a very good recipe. Will make again! Thanks.

Broccoli Beef II

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
This was pretty good! I made it according to the recipe except like some others I put the marinade in the mix instead of discarding it. I'm glad I did, as I thought it needed a bit more flavor - can't imagine what it would have been like without the flavorful marinade. So, 4/5, a little more flavor would have made it a 5/5 recipe. Will make again.

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
Not bad, but not a five star recipe in mine and hubby's opinion. A little too moist for our taste, due to quite a few wet ingredients. Think if I were to make it again I would cut back on them.

Very good, I get requests to make these on special occasions. For my own taste tho, not quite 5 stars.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2006
Wow!!! So delicious! I wasn't sure I was going to like this recipe, as it calls for quite a bit of oil, but I'm glad to say I was wrong! This was great! I made it for Valentine's day dinner and it was a big hit with me and my hubby. Great heated up the next day too. I served the sauce/chicken mixture over the pasta instead of mixing the pasta in, as I had no room in the pan, and used dried chili peppers instead of red pepper flakes (didn't have any), but that was the only change I made. Wonderful, extraordinary recipe!!! Well done Brooklyn Girl!!

Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
This was easy to make, however I must have done something wrong, as mine looked like it was separating, kind of chunky looking. Sauce was good, a little tart, but I like it that way. Overall, didn't look great and I made it for Valentine's day, so it was a little disappointing. Probably won't make again.

Old Fashioned Paradise Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2005
Pretty good! Liked the cheesecake part and the topping, only thing I would do differently is use my own recipe for the pumpkin filling, oh and I also made my own crust. Had this at thanksgiving this year and went over quite well. Thanks!

Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
Made this for dessert after Easter dinner. It was pretty good, nice flavour, I think everyone enjoyed it, but in my opinion definitley use FRESH raspberries!! I used frozen and they made the bottom of the crust kind of mushy. Might make again.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
Pretty good flavour, altho I think there's a bit too much salt and oats. Cooking time was slightly off for me, I cooked them 14 mins otherwise they were a bit raw in the middle. Didn't use nuts as I was out, and subsituted milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.

Spaghetti Pizza Lasagna

Good, but not quite worth 5 stars in my opinion. I found it had too few seasonings, my hubby agreed. Will make again, but add a lot more spices and seasonings. Thanks for the recipe.

Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2005
The end result was quite tasty, but the cooking time was WAY off. I had to cook it an extra 15+ mins just so it wasn't raw in the middle, and then the edges got quite hard and I had to trim them off. Will make again tho.
