Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2014
This was AMAZING!!!! Followed the recipe exactly. Made sure the parchment paper was high enough and had no trouble with spillage. I will never make a pecan pie again because this was so much easier and made a lot more. Also loved the shortbread crust. TRY THIS AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
This is one of those recipes that you read all the reviews and run out and get all the ingredients!! It didn't disappoint. I didn't change the recipe, I just added more vegetables. I also did as many others suggested and doubled everything and used 1/2 the sauce to saute the veg in. You can add whatever you like, but I added mushrooms, pea pods, broccoli, onion, and water chestnuts. It was fantastic!! You can have it over chow mein noodles, rice, or nothing if you prefer. Oh, I also used beef shoulder tenders from Fareway. It's the best for stir fry, stew, etc. I did marinate it overnight as well. It was great heated up the next day too. AWESOME STIR-FRY!! YOU MUST TRY!!

Peppermint Bark Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
I've baked lots of cookies in my oven but these took forever to bake. At 10 min they were really gooey so I baked 2 min. more and took them out thinking they would bake a little more. They were not done. Made second batch smaller, but with the same result so I baked them longer. They got really crispy then. They don't taste too bad except for the first gooey ones. Not sure I'll go to all that trouble again.

Candied Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2013
I love this recipe and never thought of cinnamon. Nice addition. One thing I do just because I like to use some of the juice (heated) is thicken it with a mix of cold water/cornstarch and pour over the sweet potatoes. Then I add the butter, brown sugar and a few marshmellows. When it's about done, then I add more MINIATURE (lol) m'mellows to brown and hold their shape better. Hope this is helpful.

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
Oh yeah!! This is IT! Thank you for those who said to add a little cornstarch to the cheese to help thicken the sauce. Also, shred your own cheese, don't buy the already grated kind. It works ok for topping casseroles, etc, but NOT in this wonderful recipe. We've added shrimp and also chicken another time. It just gets better and better. Also added a little cream when we reheated for the next day and it worked well. Enjoy this recipe - it's fabulous.

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2012
Wonderful recipe! I made use of a few hints from the reviews...doubled the sauce (except the cloves) and saved half of it for a dipping sauce at the table. Put the juice from a can of pineapple rings and a jar of maraschino cherries in the bottom of the roaster. Added the pineapple and cherries to the pan when I started basting. Because I thought it was a little dry, I will change the cooking temp to 300, bake 1 hr 15 min, start basting for another 45 min, so I have a total of 2 hrs counting the basting.

Garden Penne

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2012
This lady must have one huge pan to cook this in! lol Only ingredient change was using Muenster instead of mozzarella because of personal choice. After I had sauted everything for 10 min., I didn't think it needed to simmer for 20 min more because I thought it would be mushy. So baked it after adding the rest of the ingredients and it turned out great. Great recipe.

Pork Roast With The World's Best Pork Loin Rub

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
Wonderful recipe. I just reduced the red pepper some for our taste otherwise did everything the same. After reading the reviews, I put potatoes, carrots, onion, gr pepper, and mushrooms in a separate pan, poured apple juice over it, cooked it in the microwave awhile and then baked it with the roast in the oven. AWESOME taste!!!

Butternut Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
Tried this exactly as written. Here are the changes I will make next time: Leave the squash at 3 cups, and use 1/4 all the other ingredients. Bake the squash for 1 hour, scoop out and mash. I also added 1 tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. This is very good, but don't think it needs to be that sweet.

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
AWESOME!! I don't fix Mexican recipes much because they just don't taste as good as our fine restaurant here in Red Oak. But this was an exception. After reading the reviews, I didn't use quite as much taco sauce and I also tried McCormick's great guacamole (in pkg) and just added avocados and put on the top after baking along with lettuce, tomato, etc It was better than guacamole in the jar. The only ingredient I added was black olives. I'm going to see if Nicole has other Mexican recipes on this site!! Also, I really dislike refried beans so I made my husbands with them and believe it or not I used garbanzo beans in mine and they tasted great!

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
You will never try another pork chop recipe after making this one!!! It was awesome. After reading the reviews, I marinated the pork chops in the sauce and then boiled the sauce to use for basting. I've never tasted pork chops so good and so tender. I used the apple juice but think the jack daniels suggestion would be good too. TRY THIS RECIPE!!!!

Throw out all of your salmon recipes and use nothing but this!! It is most awesome. My husband had something similar to this in a restaurant and I've been trying to duplicate it. This is even better. We love honey mustard, so used it instead of Dijon. You rock Chris!!
