Key Lime Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
GREAT RECIPE !!! BUT, I MUST ASK, WHY do people change about 5 or 6 things in a recipe & then say "This is a 5 STAR recipe" ???? I say, either make the recipe as written or don't rate it !!!!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
Made these for supper last night, The flavor was great. I did half the low sodium soy sauce with water. However, I think they need to marinate a bit longer or cook at a lower heat longer so they will become more tender. My hubby, who LOVES, FRIED pork chops, even said it tasted good. I will try it again.

What is with all the complaining about the amount of batter??? The recipe does say it makes 4 LOAVES & SERVES 48. I don't understand why people are surprised by the quantity !!!!

Barbecue Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
We did not care much for this recipe. The sauce itself was ok, but I think it would be much better used with meatballs or little smokies. The chicken seemed to get a little overcooked.

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
Use all the other reviews about less butter & double the crust. I noticed some people said they didn't Like the chocolate being overbearing. USE THE CARAMEL SWIRL CHIPS. THESE ARE MAGNIFICENT !!!!!! You can NEVER have too much caramel.

Canned Apple Pie Filling

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
I have just finished making this. It looks beautiful in the jars. One of my husbands favorite pies is Apple, so I look forward to making one this winter & getting his opinion. I did add extra spices, and vanilla. I had a little extra filling so I chopped 2 more small apples and put it in a pint jar. I will use that one to try the "Fried Apple Pies" recipe also from Allrecipes Website. I give this 5 stars because of the taste when cleaning the pan out.

Baby Carrots And Brussels Sprouts Glazed With Brown Sugar and Pepper

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
I have to give this just 3 stars because I didn't care for it, but my husband liked it. He wasn't overly excited about this new dish as he is with some others that I put in front of him. I will say he is always willing to try the new stuff & lets me know yes or no. I really didn't enjoy making this so he probably won't get it again. Sorry Honey, I just gotta enjoy cookin' it. I made it just as written, but only made half the recipe.

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
I have made this for years. I got the recipe from a friend of mine. For a great dish, wash & DRAIN 2 or 3 pds. red & green grapes, MAKE SURE YOUR GRAPES ARE VERY WELL DRAINED !!!, make your dip, stir dip and grapes together. CHILL. Just before serving stir in some sunflower seeds. This dish always comes home empty.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
Having an abundance of blackberries this year, I needed to use some. This recipe is wonderfully easy, and tastes great on top of all that. I used splenda in place of the sugar and did cut back on the amounts called for and used an 8 x 8 pan. Next time I will double the amounts & make a much bigger cobbler. (maybe I can share it then, maybe not!) Thanks Amanda. My Mom is from Hustonville, Ky. Just right outside of Danville & we were there quite often when I was little. Kentucky is a GREAT place to live. I live in Burlington, Ky. Thanks Again !!!

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
EXCELLENT!! I have never made my own glaze before now. I always bought the glaze in the plastic tube bag. HUGE MISTAKE now that I know what it should taste like. I will not buy it ever again. This recipe is great. I used some of the others suggestions about using less water & sugar. I used SPLENDA since I have diabetes. The result was wonderful. I have an over abundance of strawberries in my patch this year, so I will be making this a lot. I did coat my crust with the chocolate. (gotta cheat a little). I also used more strawberries than called for and cooled my glaze a little, then mixed my strawberries in it so they would all get a good covering. Thanks for sharing.

Almond Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
These are good, but not as good as I was expecting according to the other reviews. They are definitley easy enough. I thought they would be chewier. I made them in an 11x14 so that they taste more like a bar than a cake but they are still kinda cake like. Just good for me, not great.

I've been making this for years with butterscotch pudding. This year there is a new flavor "Pumpkin Spice Pudding" a limited edition flavor for the season by Jell-o. I would suggest stocking up on it for the year. It makes this dessert "THE BEST EVER"
