Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
This was an amazing recipe, it was a little spicy for my boyfriend and I, so next time i will add only half a teaspoon of red pepper flakes.

White Chocolate Blondies

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
Very very good. The white chocolate tastes is sooooo yummy in the bars. I didn't use regular chocolate chips but used the 'swirled' chocolate/caramel chips. I also doubled the recipe and used a 9x13 pan, cooked for 35 mins and it came out nice and dense and MOIST! Topped them with the Caramel Sauce from the 'Bananas with Caramel Sauce' from this site & a small dollop of ice cream - beyond sinful! Will definitely make again!

Bananas in Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
This sauce is sooooo yummy. I didn't make it with the bananas but over the White Chocolate Blondies from this site. Just wonderful. I agree with the other posts regarding the stirring. It will separate but just keep stirring - it will come back together and brown up nicely. The whole process took maybe 10 minutes max. Worth the time!

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
I've made this several times loosely measuring the ingredients. Usually made a double batch b/c it goes quick! Sometimes I'll add in a garlic clove. I seed the tomatoes and throw it all in the food processor. Couldn't be easier!

Maple Glazed Pork Loin

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
The ingredients in the recipe didn't sound 100% appealing to me but I trusted the reviews and I'm glad I did. It's that nice 'change of pace' from regular pork loin I was looking for. Served it with garlic mashed taters for my boyfriend and his sister and they went back for seconds. Always a great compliment!

Hot Bacon Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
I took the suggestions of other reviewers and cut the sugar down. I let it cool for about 20 mins before serving it over a spinach salad so it didn't wilt the spinach and served fresh crumbled feta over the top for that salty/sweet combo. Perfect!

Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
Will definitely make again! Served as a side dish at a dinner party and it got rave reviews! I didn't have pine nuts but it was fantastic without them. I also didn't use dehydrated sun dried tomato but instead used a jar packed in oil and used some of the oil from the jar for extra flavor instead of the olive oil called for. I still added in the veggie broth. Served it with freshly shredded parmesan.

Really tasty! I had my boyfriends parents over for dinner and they loved it. I gave them a loaf to take home. Served it with cream cheese frosting. Sooooo good!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
Perfect! I've never been a big quacamole fan until recently moving to CA. It's everywhere out here...and I found I love it! lol This recipe is just simple and yummy. Thx for posting for those that didn't have a clue on how to make the perfect Guac! I've already made it 3 times in as many weeks. Yummm!

Carnitas Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
Delish! Cooked up perfectly. Once done, I browned the shredded pork in a bit of oil in a pan then added it to tortillas. Simple and delicious. A keeper!

Pro Ganache

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
I cooked this a day ahead of time and put it in the fridge overnight. To get the ganache to a pourable state, I let it get to room temperature then put the glass bowl I had it in over a pot of simmering water to 're-melt' it. It was perfect. I poured it over a layered ice cream cake I made for a birthday and they were very impressed. Delish! =)

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
This was awesome! Better than I've had at a local posh restaurant. I also used raspberry jam w/a tiny bit of water. Everyone raved and my boyfriend has requested it time and time again. I used Ghiardelli chocolate bars melted down and served the cheesecake with a white chocolate ganach recipe I found on this site. I'm making it again this weekend and I can't wait! Mmmmmm!

Wine Jelly

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
Overall, very easy to make and lovely taste. I used a merlot. However, they did not gel up as much as I would have liked and that may be b/c I did not use standard canning jars but the type of jars w/the silver locking tab on them. I figured it would make for a prettier gift jar. My friends enjoyed the jelly on crackers w/cream cheese and remarked it was 'very refreshing'. I will definitely make it again, with the correct jars this time. Thank you!

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2005
I wish there were more than just 5 stars for this recipe!! I have made this many times and each time it is consistently delicious. Friends repeatedly ask for this recipe and request that I make it for dinner parties or showers in lieu of the standard baked ziti. It's a hit every time!! I find myself not ordering this dish in restaurants anymore b/c they never match up to the flavor of this recipe!

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2005
I made this last night for a friend and we weren't very impressed. While the chicken did stay very moist, the taste was minimal at best. We both agreed it didn't really "taste like anything". I would add garlic & white wine to this if I decide to make it again.
