About this Cook
I'm 50yrs old, married, love my family dearly and live in Salem Oregon. I like to stay busy doing crafts of all kinds, being involved with our church and working at my job in the health field. My husband and I spend as much time with our family as we can. It's so precious to have children and grandchildren to share life with. They truly are gifts from God.
My favorite things to cook
Casseroles, deserts, salads, soups/stews.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When ever we have family get togethers the kids want photos taken of the special stuff like pie's, salads, turkey. Usually whatever looks picture perfect.
My cooking triumphs
Triumphs...pulling off Thanksgiving at our house without a hitch. My kitchen is small with little counter space very trying.
My cooking tragedies
I wasn't paying attention to what was on the stove and burned a can of green beans in a pan. What a mess, and what a smell!

Fluffy Pancakes
My husband is super hard to please when it comes to food. He repeatedly stated "these are the best pancakes I've ever had". Now keep in mind that I've not made homemade pancakes for 25 years therefore he obviously forgets my previous attempts. But seriously, these are so very good! It's a very easy recipe and I had everything in my kitchen to make it too. No after taste like boxed mixes. Plus these are full of flavor. I will make these often.

Egg and Sausage Casserole
Wonderful Dish! Only thing I did different was to use medium cut hashbrowns instead of the bread. Everyone at church loved it. Thanks for sharing.

Irish Cream Truffle Fudge
Wow, what a sin this is! This is smooth, delectible and utterly awesome. I highly recommend this. Never had any fudge that was this good. Thanks so much for the recipe. I think I have a new tradition in our family. Merry Christmas!
