About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake COOKIES!!! and all kinds of desserts. I also bake my own bread. I love any cooking that is healthy and quick---like grilling, slow cooking, and stir frying. I am a big soup lover. Also I am a fan of British and Irish foods, and will make these special meals from time to time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We do the big family Thanksgiving dinner with everything made from scratch. I usually make the stuffing with homemade bread.

Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding
I made this on the first day of fall. I had some stale whole wheat italian bread and some fresh apples. I cut the sugar in half by substituting Splenda, and it tasted great. Also, I used the full amount of milk, but let the bread cubes absorb it for about 15 minutes before baking. Then I poured on the egg mixture and baked it. My family loved it. This was easy to throw together with ingredients I had on hand.

Flaky Food Processor Pie Crust
Jenn, thanks so much for clearing something up for me! I have been making pie crust in the food processor for a couple of years, but it was always tough, never flaky because of the amount of water it took to form the ball while in the processor. Your advice is better than Martha's and the barefoot lady! My crust was flaky!!! A little hard to work with, but definitely flaky! :)
